Was an enjoyable game with an equally enjoyable result.
Another game where I just marvelled at Olic.
Is this guy the hardest working striker ever?
Christ the ground he covers is amazing, a managers dream and he is a brilliant player to boot.
Certainly if I was building a team and had lots of money to spend he'd be the first I'd try and buy!

Bruce, let's set aside our differences and focus on our similarities, such as our mutual desire to see Ferguson get fined and banned.Bruce Rioja wrote:Who said "they dove" though? Maybe now's the time for a reassesment of Mr Alex Ferguson's managerial careeer. I know there are some misguided folk on here who say, "Oh, I don't like him, but you have to admit he's a good manager."
I have to admit no such thing. He's a mediocre manager who's had a lot of time and money. Not to mention help from friendly officials and the FA. As Brian Clough apparently said to his Leeds United charges, "Throw your medals in the bin, you won them all by cheating". A perfect analogy.
The Rags have won their titles because they've spent more money than anyone else buying them. Simples. If Chelsea had kept hold of Mourinho (a much better manager than Mr Ferguson), they'd have won the league every year. That they haven't is down to the instability that constantly chopping and changing the manager brings.
His mind games? Are you having a giraffe? (Seriously? If so, seek medical help) His so-called "mind games" simply involve making announcements to the media that have no bearing on reality. Another name for it is lying. They don't affect the outcome of a football match, and only his apologists in the media think they do.
And his latest outburst? Ignore the jingoism, concentrate on the hypocrisy. "They surrounded the referee" Is there a team in England that does this more than the Rags? (Clue: No, there isn't).
Remember Public Enemy, kids. Don't believe the hype. Just look at Mr Ferguson. Judge the evidence. You'll see a manager no better than Gary Megson. Just one who's had a lot more time and money. And who's a much bigger cnut that Megson ever was.

Joking aside - I'm intrigued as to what, if of course anything at all, will happen here.H. Pedersen wrote:Let's just execute him and call it good.
Surely if in certain circumsatnces you're not allowed to call me a Limey, or I call you a Yank - not even in banter, then conditions most definitely don't allow the upholding of nationalistic stereotypes.
Of course, I wouldn't be taking such a hard line aproach had it been anyone other than Ferguson here!

The stereotype doesn't even make any sense . . . I thought it was the players from the Mediterranean that were known for surrounding the ref and waving imaginary cards. If you use a slur that makes no sense ("Those English . . . they're always yelling at the movie in the theater!"), is it really a slur?Bruce Rioja wrote:Joking aside - I'm intrigued as to what, if of course anything at all, will happen here.H. Gutted I missed it. Must have been hilarious. As this Champions League match review points out Man Yoo were well odds on to go through at one point.
I think it shows that whatever powers Fergie once had are now starting to desert him. Hope he hangs on for as long as possible and really drags the club down.
Just hope the knacker hasn't knacked Rooney for the World Cup.

BBC reporting that the red scum have signed striker Javier Hernandez from Mexican side Chivas de Guadalajara. Wiki are quoting a fee of £45 Million has been agreed and I bet Old Red Nose still says Man City are ruining the game by trying to buy the league.
Also his scoring record is 122 goals in 68 games. Not bad.

4 in 4 for Mekiko... But if they paid £45 Million, I'll show my arse on the town hall steps.malcd1 wrote:BBC reporting that the red scum have signed striker Javier Hernandez from Mexican side Chivas de Guadalajara. Are you not getting it confused with the friendly at their new 45,000 capacity stadium?

Undisclosed, if it was £45mil they'd be shouting from the rooftops about it...reckon its a lot less!!Manchester United to sign Mexican striker Hernandez
Javier Hernandez
Hernandez has scored four goals in four appearances for Mexico
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign striker Javier Hernandez from Mexican side Chivas de Guadalajara for an undisclosed fee.
The deal for the 21-year-old, who has scored four goals in four senior international appearances for Mexico, is subject to a work permit.
Personal terms have been agreed and Hernandez passed a medical this week.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "I am delighted to have reached a deal to sign such an exciting young striker."
He added: "He has been in prolific form for both his club and his country. He will be a great addition to our squad and we look forward to welcoming our first Mexican player in the summer."

Is this a good signing?
The club is to submit an application for Hernandez - who is known by the nickname Chicarito, which means 'little pea' - and if it is granted, he will become a United player on 1 July.
"I feel like I am living a dream," Hernandez told MUTV.
"All the impressions I have of the club are good and Sir Alex Ferguson is a great person, maybe the best coach in the world."
Should he, as expected, make Mexico's World Cup squad, United fans could be given their first glimpse of his talents when England take on the South Americans at Wembley in a friendly on 24 May.
"I hope to be at the World Cup," Hernandez commented.
"I have to work hard to win a place in the national team, then I might get a chance to play against England."
As part of the deal, United have agreed to play a match to open the new 45,000-capacity Chivas Stadium in Guadalajara as part of its 2010-11 season preparations.
Hernandez is United's second capture for next season having reached agreement to sign defender Chris Smalling from Fulham in January.
