There was no single incident, I don't think... And they certainly didn't identify one in the letter, as far as i remember... but - I guess it was like getting a card for the accumulation of fouls.CAPSLOCK wrote:Go on, what did you do?
I was suspended after bringing beer to a sixth form conference in bolton; was refused permission to stand as communist candidate in the mock election, so launched a rebel 'vote communist X' campaign involving open air meetings at break; in the early hours of one Sunday morning, decorated the main quad with a massive CND sign - they couldn't prove it was me, but they were right - it was; used the school's press located in the art rooms in those days, one lunchtime, without permission, to produce an anti-apartheid leaflet that me and co-rebels distributed around the school (the anger was two fold - we hadn't paid for the paper, and it was 'illegal' because we hadn't included 'printed and published by')...
Refused to accept 'monitor' duties - which was in those days a responsibility of all VI form - mine, unbelievably, were to stand at the bottom of a set of steps for ten minutes on Tues and thurs lunchtime, that could be used by only members of staff and VI form students and prevent any oiks walking up them (FFS ) - i just never did it. I also, when fifteen, refused to bend over for the slipper in a geography lesson taught by a practising christian and semi-sadist. I just said no, and kept saying it, until he sent me out. There were no repercussions, he just let it drop.
I guess I was just a persistent, exhausting arsehole as far as they were concerned. and TBH I can see their point.
I'd abolish all private schools tomorrow, given the chance, and would take especial joy if the first of them was BS...

There's nothing daft or thoughtless about it. I do hope you are joking WTW if you believe that scroungers, benefit cheats and criminals don't exist in abundance in every town. "Mythical millions" are your words, not mine. Running prisons filled to capacity and providing lawbreakers with food and enetertainment costs nothing? Law enforcement costs nothing? Courts, trials, barristers and solicitors cost nothing? Gee, you talk about living in the "real" world and say that? Man, you are truly out of touch with reality. "Policy" is a government word. It means jack all without action. Whichever party we have need to accept the world exists outside of the houses of Parliament and in those of the common people, and not politicians squabbling and calling each other names on TV. Now I know why I don't normally get involved in discussion on politics. Over and out.William the White wrote:This is just some daft, thoughtless rant, isn't it? One day, hopefully, we'll have a government capable of identifying the difference and doing something about it other than make the country a laughing stock and the Eldorado of the pxss-takers.
It's actually threatened by a party aiming to increase mass unemployment, hit public services and goive the richest 3000 in the country a kiss on all four cheeks.

Pomagne???!!!!! You ceaselessly forget that we're now champagne Socialists - nothing but the best for us boys and girls. Cristal only please.CAPSLOCK wrote:Isn't this the fcuking angry thread?Lord Kangana wrote:You'd prefer it if he just said he was superior to you for having gone to a private school? You've a hell of a chip on your shoulder about this, haven't you?
FWIW, I'm a strong supporter of private education - but not BS as that turns out way more than its share of wankers (and they didn't offer me a free place so they can fcuk right off)
Just can't do with the folk who go, get the benefits, then spout bollocks about how great socialism is
All while quaffing on their Pomagne

To be frank, just looks like another rant to me, if anything more incoherent than the first. Obviously you really don't like what I said, but I'm finding it difficult to detect a rational argument here... Just another foaming at the mouth, but this time more personally directed against what you imagine to be me...

Firstly WTW, I don't ever foam at the mouth. Neither do I like everything I say being classed as rants. My points were relevant as to what I see as wrong. If you can't accept people having a different opinion without classing it as rubbish, fine. There was nothing personal directed at you, but your claims as to what you think the government will do aren't law, not even a fact, just a political opinion. Classing my views as incoherent is rather insulting to say the least. I've been working class and Labour all my life, but right now if I said I knew who to vote for with confidence, I'd be a liar. I don't.William the White wrote:

to be fair - actually there was! you said that WtW was totally out of touch with reality (whilst deploying the words "gee" and "man"!) Regardless as to whether he is or not - that could certainly be classed as personally directed at WtW...
also - in your last post you concluded with "over and out"!
This morning I set off early and I was the only car on the road going through Upminster in either dierection. A bloke steps up to cross the road - he can see I am the ONLY FECKING CAR - and yet he still opts to press the crossing button - causing the light to go red and me to have to stop while he crosses.
GIT!
(I should have run him over - there was nobody else in sight!)

'Champagne' made from pears... Don't know if it's still made but the most common brand was called 'babycham'... Friday night on bradshawgate for the sophisticated birds was babycham and brandy which could, if taken in enough quantity, turn a mother superior into a raving tart... About 6-7% abv I'd guess for Pomagne...General Mannerheim wrote:wtf is Pomagne?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
