West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I'm torn to be honest - the vast majority of football this term has obviously been cr*p, but last season was brilliant. However the players seem to be behind him and if the owners did the same (financially and um, socially) then we may do alright.

All the successful managers have been given time... perhaps the same could apply to Zola.

Pretty much my reckoning... although a poor opening 3 games could see him jobless. I suppose he did what was required and kept you up, when you clearly didn't have a pot to piss in, so it makes sense to let him build on it

Not sure all those vitriol suppers and spewers on kumb would look at the world with fozzy's rational and comparatively benign eye...

i'd rather burnley had stayed up than wham, but I don't give two snots about 'ull... a toss up who has the wierdest accent between ull and wham as well...

Seems like a good enough time to tell one of my favourite jokes:

A woman in Hull walks into a hairdressers.

She asks 'Can I have a perm please?'

'Certainly Madam,' the man replies, 'I wandered lonely as a cloud....'

I was just about to post a "Has Fozzy come out of hiding yet?" post.

But I see he beat me too it.

All we need now is for Liverpool to beat Chelsea and sneak into 4th spot, and Blurred will prolly make a return too.

I for one am glad you stayed up. I miss my trips to Charlton and Crystal Palace and to lose West Ham as well would mean one less capital away game. Just don't get any ideas about winning your last two and finishing above us!

... & today, exactly 48hrs after achieving safety, this club which is completely broke for cash & wants to rip up contracts & have players take pay cuts ....you know, the one who, back in January, tried to get Van Nistelhorse on board for £120k a week.... offers £4m for Graham Dorrens from WBA.

Is it me ... or is this proof that they are hell bent on going bust, presumably in the belief that someone will come in & rescue them after they write off all their debts ?

Also, this morning one of the two David's (Sullivan) on telly talking about the move to the Olympic Stadium as their new ground in 2013 as if it were a done deal.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

These two really are the biggest media whores of all time. A great match now they're at the most disproportionally media-loved club around.

We absolutely had to spend in January cos relegation would have killed us. And I very much doubt the new owners are hell bent on going bust after pumping so much cash into the Club.

I agree with you about the Olympic Stadium. Be a shame to leave Upton Park though...

That's a fair point, obviously. However I believe that a large part of their plan, from the outset, has been to move there, sell Upton Park & make some dosh.

It's fair to say they are WHam fans & so will truly want sucess ... as well as covering their costs, as you say above. Do you not think it's possible they fancy getting enough points in the bag to survive a 9 point loss & then go into Administration to rid them of their debts ?

I certainly wouldn't put it paast them.

West Ham boss Zola 'surprised' by Dorrans bid -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 654738.stm

This isn't unique to WHam, I know it happened at Citeh last year & possibly more often than we know ... plus I realise that Zola's being, effectively, constructively dismissed by the David's, but how can it be that players are selected & and made offers for by the directors ?

So, they decide to put the whole squad, minus one player, up for auction. They, at the same time, decide to make an offer for a decent player, but as yet untested in the Premiership .... without the manager being involved ?!?!?!? How can this be ?

Then they decide to claim that he was involved .... & he says "no I wasn't". Not rocket science here, surely.

But then I read a story last week where Zola had requested that he didn't get involved in transfer bids, and that he just coached the team :conf:

Doesn't that kind of thing usually start with the Manager identifying the players that he wants first though?

From the bit I've seen of Dorrans, by the way, he looks a tidy player.

So Tevez kept them up illegally, and they stay in the PL.

Now they're being offered the Olympic stadium after the games, while every f**ker else had to pay for their home?

Do the FA support West Ham as well as the media?
Troll and proud of it.

Sorry, I sshould have come back on this one.

Zola confirmed that he had reuested not be be involved in the contract negotiations for new players, but denied having said he didn't want to be involved in their selection.

It's a moot point though now as they'll clearly bin him.

Interesting remarks from Boa Morte yesterday as he criticised the way the David's are behaving and said that many of the squad couldn't wait to get out.

Meanwhile Sullivan, still asking players to take cuts, states that they'll be looking for 5+ newbies this summer. Amazing.

I can only assume you're asking this question to show your youthfulness.

Us old timers know everyone loves West Ham - they won the World Cup for us, which you young un's may have forgotten about.

Was it a similar situation with the City of Manchester Stadium?
