Colin Hendry declared bankrupt

The "good guy" seems to have got himself into bother, with details held back but a pretty clear inference that on-line gambling is a big player in his problems.
I know his wife was ill & then died, but b-hell, with the number of years at the top he had then he must have blown some cash.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

How does one get credit with an online gambling company? (Not that I'm interested in obtaining some, I just didn't think that's how they do business. Perhaps it's different for their 'big' accounts.)bobo the clown wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lanc ... 395494.stm

Probably paid out a fair amount in private medical care for his wife over her seven year battle.

No. they sued & won a fair amount plus costs, so that's not the reason. Norwas her loss of earnings as she was a 'home-maker'.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:How does one get credit with an online gambling company? I understand that for the high rollers there are executive packages which allow people to build up credit. ... & before you ask ... no, never, not to much as a penny ... ever.

Ah yes, I forgot that somebody was liable for their fault in respect of her medical problems.bobo the clown wrote:No. they sued & won a fair amount plus costs, so that's not the reason. Same as Tango, I hope the big guy sorts it out.

Leave him alone - he's our very own baron munchausen, and to be encouraged, imo. i've laughed out loud as ever more outrageous claims were offered - of which my fave so far was taking a hit in the cumbria shootings and digging the bullet out in a cave...Zulus Thousand of em wrote:I'm guessing that you are full of shite.Aldridge Pryor wrote:I once took £7 grand off him in a game of Pitch & Toss!
