Haven't used the 360 for ages, but tempted by the new Tiger Woods - always enjoyed them going back many a year, although didn't bother with TW10. Might try 11.BWFC_Insane wrote:Tiger Woods 11 is very good. Much better than the last one I played which I think was 9.
Putting is still frustrating though!

Its good as long as you enjoying the "skilling your rather shite golfer up by earning XP" part. Otherwise its probably a bit dull.blurred wrote:Haven't used the 360 for ages, but tempted by the new Tiger Woods - always enjoyed them going back many a year, although didn't bother with TW10. Am getting used to the putting now. Drove me insane at first. Especially when compared to driving which was very easy to master.
Approaches are the best part of the game as they get closest to really allowing you a true feel and judgement of the shot!
Should I get the new Xbox 'slim' or a PS3? I'm still completely undecided and will probably wait till Xmas.

Very difficult to say really. If you want a fantastic gaming experience then either is great.
For me the biggest positive for the 360 is the online gaming experience, but that is countered by the fact the PS3 is a blu-ray player and has lossless (proper HD) audio.
Anyway...Kinect price has been confirmed at the laughable £129.99 including Kinect Adventures.
Hilarious price, this will bomb.
Also, final reminder (maybe) that LIMBO is out tomorrow on XBOX LIVE Arcade, and if you love games you owe it to yourself to at least try the trial.

i dont get golf sims, they seem to go against the concept of gaming for me. i find them utterly pointless and boring. just go and have a round of golf ffs.
i cant travel to the depths of the ocean to explore Raptor & use telekinisis to frazzle splicers. nor can i play center forward in the world cup final, or make wanderers win the champions league! nor save the world from nuclear disaster, or take on the organised crime lords new york while occasionally snipering passers by heads off, or can i run around the favelas of Rio and the snowy alps shooting terrorists and calling in air strikes etc etc... which is why i like playing xbox. but i could nip for a game of golf instead.
each to their own tho n'all that.

HOW MUCH! They can clear off then! Might get a standard and forget the Kinect, but might only go for Xbox as I loved the old Fable game.FD wrote:Anyway...Kinect price has been confirmed at the laughable £129.99 including Kinect Adventures.

Seriously need to upgrade from my Fat old PS2!

the new machine has all the wifi biz built in. you *might* be better off getting the new slim 'un anyway and skip buying the £130 camera thing.jenkz wrote: HOW MUCH! They can clear off then! Might get a standard and forget the Kinect, but might only go for Xbox as I loved the old Fable game.

I suppose its the same as saying go and have a game of footie instead of playing Fifa.General Mannerheim wrote:i dont get golf sims, they seem to go against the concept of gaming for me. i find them utterly pointless and boring. just go and have a round of golf ffs.

You can do that but its different.
I can't go for a round at pebble beach. Or play the ryder cup or the masters and shoot a 5 under round.

The PES2011 master league online beta...well, it needs improvement for sure...but the main game is certainly a lot better than any PES on a next-gen console to date so far.
FIFA2011 is gonna take some beating mind, full 11vs11 play (yes, you can be a keeper) and "Be a Goalkeeper" mode as well. Creatable players, teams and shirts as well as customizable chants...it's gonna be incredbile this year.
Lara Croft out tomorrow on XBLA as well, really really excellent game but the ONLINE co-op isn't being patched in until september (if I recall correctly) so if you want to do multiplayer it'll be local only!

On the FIFA 2011, customizable chants? You'll be able to put on "we are the one and only Wanderer." Grand.

Aww it's amazing! Basically a straegy platform game, puzzles get increasingly harder the further you get. Only about 5 hours play time tho, which is a bit short for 1200 points.hisroyalgingerness wrote:Much better than the first one. General - what's the low down on that Limbo then, had some ace reviews
Graphics and atmosphere are amazing tho, especially late at night with the lights down low!
Just completed it tonight actually.

I had an Xbox, didn't have time to play on it much as I work away. So when my brother got red ring of death he nicked mine when I was out and I haven’t seen it since, further to this he has had his fixed (or replaced) but still keeps mine at his digs whilst he’s working away....
I consider him an absolute tool as he is 30 years old and has a new born baby to look after yet all he seems interested in is achievements, graphics and killing shit whilst sitting on an oversized bean bag!
I myself prefer going out socialising, meeting new people and chasing girls!

Give a hand to my band… Sexual Chocolate
They play so fine don't you agree!

Yup, and create the players they've missed (if they miss any)!Worthy4England wrote:On the FIFA 2011, customizable chants? You'll be able to put on "we are the one and only Wanderer." Grand.
As for Limbo, a wonderful concept executed perfectly, but 1200 points is too much for a 3-4 hour game imho. It's a reccomendation, but at 800 points it'd have been a must buy.
If you are having to chase them, you are doing it wrong.Randy Watson wrote:I myself prefer going out socialising, meeting new people and chasing girls!
