You lads are set for a great season

Post by Wilko » Tue Jul 27, 2010 6:27 pm

Now then lads!

I'm a mag from Yorkshire and I am a moderator on Nufc-forum.com

I came to tell you that I think you lot are gonna be awesome next season!

Martin Petrov is the best free signing of the summer bar no high pitched cockney.

Marco Alonso is a quality young prospect who is built for the Premiership

Robbie Blake is gonna be a great character to have around.

Owen Coyle looks the happiest and most relaxed of any Premiership manager right now, he's having a great time knowing that he made an excellent decision to leave Burnley for your lot.

I like the self depricating humour of you Bolton fans so you'll enjoy my memory of this classic

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 184822.stm

"Kevin Keegan's return as Newcastle boss turned into a damp squib with a desperately poor goalless draw against Bolton at St James' Park.

Keegan promised entertainment on his return to Newcastle, but there was little on offer in this drab encounter."

"If Keegan can gain any crumb of comfort from his first match, it will be that Newcastle kept a rare clean sheet."

It is never an exciting prospect watching a Bolton match!

Sometimes I'd rather be creosoting my fence than watching your team!

However next season it's gonna be different, the Reebok is gonna be a fortress and you will be comparing Owen Coyle with Big Sams achievements for you.

I predict a healthy 9th place finish and wins against Arsenal and Liverpool.

Drop by if you fancy a bit of banter!

I'll be back

Do i know you ?

Youre so easily flattered..... "You lot are going to be awesome", "Fortress rebok", "9th", Coyle is great.?

Tell yer what....turn your head slowly to the right....now the left...now the right...now faster..faster.. faster...keep going ..there now... you have given your heed a shake.

you should now be able to see these mags are just after pattering you into going on their half arsed web site for the traffic.

Having said that youre always welcome on our site for a bit banter, we had 1660 at one time on the footy forum alone last week but theres always room for guests.... as long as youre not sensitive ( my personal favourite thread was " a dogs just shit in my hallway"..serious, crying with laughter)

Anyway wait until the mags win the odd one or two ( long wait hopefully) , they will sharp be back with their were the "Barcelona of the North" youre all shit crap

This is all fairly simple.

I'll start with expectations of hoping to stay up - with a bit of luck, come the end of the season, I'll be delighted - I have us down for home wins, against someone.

Newcastle will start the season with hopes of winning the Prem, FA Cup and League Cup treble, because 152,000 people who watch them every home game can't be wrong, and will probably implode about the middle of September.

There speaks a man that knows his football..

and Sunderland will wait in expectation of a marquee signing during the summer, say oh well when we dont get it, get behind the lads anyway, shake our heads at the comoedy of errors that sees us throw last minute leads away in home game after home game, bemoan our injury ravaged 'could have been' season and say.."serves us right to suffer but never mind could be worse , i could be a mag"

Hello Wilko and welcome, and hello again the Mad one.

Drum banging and sabre rattling time again for all of us again, hey? . No big shouts of Champs League and all that from us, just a reminder of ten consecutive seasons up in the rareifed oxygen zone . More hopeful than we've been for a while and introducing you to Petrov, Alonso, Lee and co should be fun. Be sure to stick around. Big Kev sends his regards and we see you've both signed park the bus defenders. Won't keep us out. Bring it on.

What like yourself, chief? Who came on here in the first place to tell us that Cahill was joining and then you promptly sign Titus Bramble. Hehehe :D

Hia Wilko, and welcome. What's your take on Danny Guthrie, then? We had him for a season and whereas he always looked comfortable on the ball he never did a bloody thing with it.

Hi all and thanks for the welcome.

I rate Guthrie actually and I think plenty of our fans would too. He was stuck out on the right a lot last season and does not seem a natural winger at all, he's much better when playing box to box in the middle of the park.

Puts in a lot of effort and as you say comfortable on the ball, a frustration last season for me was that he seemed to take a lot of free kicks despite being no good at them. He scored one direct against West Brom but mostly he'd try and float it in, no whip and it'd be clearly comfortably.

You can tell he's still developing and I think his experience at Bolton was pretty useful, he'll be a first team regular for us next season so you'll no doubt get to see a bit more of him.

Keep it up, Wilko.

It might all be bllx, but it's nice, easy reading, flattering, optimistic bllx & that's what pre-season's about.

Anyway, it's good to see fans from the newly promoted clubs come on here to see what the established clubs are all about ! 8)
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
