Last night I watched "Them" - a French horror/thriller allegedly based on true events (well, you know...)

Not bad. Disturbing enough, I suppose, in an Eden Lake-ish way.

Saw Toy Story 3 tonight in my first dabble into modern digital 3D. The 3D is pretty good but the film would still be as fantastic without it. I didn't enjoy wearing the glasses tho.

The film is superb, hate keep being told that it's a kids film but with hidden adult humour, it's so patronising! But there were plenty of lol moments in this, the 9.30pm show time meant no kids but everyone left the cinema grinning, and even a few teary eyes!

I'm looking forward to seeing Toy Story 3 but going to wait a couple of Orange Wednesdays before I go otherwise it'll be rammed. Being dragged by the missus to watch Shrek at cinema tonight, oh joy, Ive never been a great fan of Shrek - plus Ive only very recently got into The Inbetweeners and I was planning to get stuck into the boxset tonight but instead, its a big green ogre and some ridiculously priced popcorn!

Have you seen Inception? Please don’t go the flicks and not watch Inception if you haven’t already seen it, it really is that good! Ive never been a fan of Shrek either, but this one is supposed to be the worst so far.

Tell you what though, whoever thought up ‘Orange Wednesdays’ must up for a crystal decanter! It must have made cinemas millions! Its always been chocca whenever ive turned up on a Wednesday anyway, and I must have had 4 chats today with people going tonight too! Not on Orange myself but I have a Showcase insider card which gets you in cheap on Tuesdays, and I like to go to late showings so never have trouble with crowds.

th'inbetweeners is never off the screen at the moment, series 3 must be imminent! you'll be in for a long night with the boxset if you have not already seen em, you just cant turn it off!

Always partial to a good old western, and they don't come much better than The Big Country. Old, yes, but Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Chuck Connors, Carol Baker, Jean Simmonds and a great performance from Burl Ives made me buy the DVD and watch it all over again, not for the first time.

It was pretty chaotic at Printworks last night; queues right out the door and round the corner what with A-Team, Toy Story, Inception, Karate Kid, The Twilight Shambles and whatever else is currently showing - but there were only about 8 in the screen showing Shrek, and the film itself didn't do an awful lot for me either.

I think series 3 of Inbetweeners is due on Channel 4 in September so I think Ive got hold of the boxset just in time - apparently they're rumoured to be making a film version of it too, set in Magaluf. Ha!

I've noticed something interesting with Inception; since it's release the negative (or 'more measured') reviews are increasing. Preview and early reports were so positive I knew I was either in for something special or a film I was doomed to feel let down by. To that extent I waited for a week because I wanted to be as far away from the hype as possible.

However, if there was less hype I think there would be less negative reviews. Down to the 'ABU' theory where the more popular a football team is the more the non-supporters have to hate it, for example.

Which, er, is a roundabout way of saying that I did give it some thought as the credits rolled, but decided I think it's an absolute game-changer and I bloody adored the film.

its an interesting theory, i saw it and totally loved it before id heard much hype, but im beginning to wish i hadnt raved about it so much at the time, because now im starting to doubt myself with all the negative stuff i hear.

Inception is like a sleight of hand magician... it distracts you enough while it's happening to paper over the cracks... then as you go home, and the days pass by, you start to reflect on the fact that there was quite a lot of bollocks!

If it wasn't for the comments that I've read in here then I'd still never have heard of it. I'm intrigued now and feel the need to see it, despite not having the foggiest as to what it's about.

If it wasn't for the comments that I've read in here then I'd still never have heard of it. I'm intrigued now and feel the need to see it, despite not having the foggiest as to what it's about.

It's a good film for sure. An interesting premise, some outstanding set pieces and good performances. Get yourself on it
