Tomorrow, 30th August, Bank Holiday Monday, Chorley will play Radcliffe Borough at Victory Park, 3.00pm kick-off. This promises to be an exciting and keenly contested game and a great opportunity to see local non-league football at its best! One thing is for sure, if Chorley carry on the way they have begun, you will be guaranteed GOALS,GOALS and MORE GOALS with the Magpies!!!

As an added gesture to Bolton Wanderers season ticket holders, produce a current season ticket at the turnstile and you will be admitted to Victory Park for only £3.50!!! Can it get any better? YES it can - accompanied children will be admitted FREE of charge!!!!!! Usual admission prices - adults £7.00, concessions £3.50 and unaccompanied children £1.00.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a great afternoon at Chorley's Victory Park for less than a tenner! Re-live the days of standing on the terraces, swapping ends at half-time and the friendly banter with fellow supporters! Last time you were on, I asked a simple enough question about the team you support. You ignored me, so it made me think you're just a spam-merchant who's allowed to get away with it because it's relatively local and relevant. If you'd made half an ounce of effort I might well be stood on your terraces this pm. As it is I've got the tough choice of more xbox, a film, or a walk to town to the food market. Has to be better than t'reserves the other week. I do fancy getting up there and seeing how Andy gets on, see if it's really worth him laughing at my attempts to do keepy up in the office

Nowt wrong with a bit of cheap non league (and there isn't many cheap league games - not even league 2) where you can pick up a reasonably priced pint also...

Garforth Town are the local team to me and I got to meet Socrates, on the bench, sipping a bud and puffing on a fag at Half Time.

You are quite right, I should have responded to your question about Andy Russell following the pre-season friendly against the Wanderers reserves. The fact is, new manager Garry Flitcroft has assembled a squad with about 15 new players and for the first couple of friendly matches we were still trying to figure out who was who! The shortage of programmes and the lack of a team sheet for friendlies also didn't help matters. Please accept my apologies.

As for your colleague Andy Russell, although a central defender he has started at left back for the first three games of the season and produced consistent and reliable performances. A competent all-round player who is good in the air, likes a tackle and distributes the ball well. Unfortunately he came up against one of the worst referees we've seen for a long while at Salford last Saturday. He was shown the yellow card for arguing with the referee and dismissed after a second yellow for a most innocuous tackle. Two very poor decisions which will result in Andy being suspended for a game or two. Fortunately we have cover for the left-back position but his aerial presence will be missed.

He may miss our next home game against Prescot Cables which is on Tuesday, 7th September, 7.45pm kick-off.

Or he may miss our next Saturday home game against Durham City on Saturday, 25th September, 3.00pm kick-off.

Either way, we are confident that Andy's absence will not prevent the Magpies securing another three points in front of an enthusiastic crowd, which will no doubt include a number of Wanderers season ticket holders who will be taking advantage of the special £3.50 admission price and enjoying a few very reasonably priced beers in the social club.

Once again please accept my apologies. If you would like to come down to Victory Park to see Andy and the Magpies in action then I will arrange a complementary ticket for you (via Andy) and I will buy you a pint................. because that's what non-league football is all about!!!!

No worries, mate. The site is already in my 'Bookmarks'. A nice comfortable win for you on the weekend and Jack "Goal Machine" Dorney sounds like a pretty solid fellow.
