What are you reading tonight?

I wanted to know I had the right one - so I provided as much background as I could.CAPSLOCK wrote:Not sure being a Nazi and a paedophile means you don't know what you're talking about, so whats the relevance?
there may be many Frank Josephs - but there are not many with the biography I outlined
Tango describes him as a "scientist" - and this one isn't - so, the more biography to make sure I have the right one, surely?
thanks for your interest...

Ahhhhh. Big sigh. Been out with the wife and we're still here. Let's see what I started with then:
All this, the manna thing, it's association with the Ark of the Covenant, the biblical views etc, etc (because anything you read into (and I did say "read into all this", not professed to be an expert, historian or scientist, jus someone who read about it)is inevitably linked to other related topics, and stated what I remembered, nothing more. You don't like the scientist I linked, fine, I'm sure you'll find other views and you can use Google just as well as I can (proven by your rapid potted history of the stated Frank whoever). Hitler employed a whole team of scientists to look into the Holy Grail, (he was actually obsessed with it ) and Google wasn't around then. Do we discount them all as scientists because they were Nazis?
As for Atlantis Pru, is it really such a myth or if so, why has so much research and exploration been done into it? I'm not professing to know the answer, but I don't just dismiss things just on my own assumptions.
in reply to Dujon.I read into all this once

Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
1. At the end of the Raiders of the Lost Ark is a disclaimer that says something like "The events and people represented in this film are purely fictional and any resemblance to persons living or dead is a coincidence and not to be taken as fact."
2. I am not at all clear why you would claim Frank Collin - alias "Frank Joseph" is a scientist - he doesn't even claim this for himself. Why would you do that?
3. You claimed scientists (plural) - are there any others who claim the Ark was a huge source of power?
4. I am not discounting all of your scientists at all - just wondering who they are so that I can take your advice and go and read them.
ps - the Holy Grail is not usually thought to be the Ark of the Covenant - so hitler's interest in the Holy Grail is not of much bearing is it?

I didn't say it was and you know it. Nobody actually knows what it is although commonly thought to be a vesssel of some sort that held the blood of Christ. What that has to do with the Ark of the Covenant in this context I have no idea. The point was was being Nazi Germans didn't stop them being scientists.thebish wrote:1. Dear, oh dear. And you expect a sensible conversation after a statement like that?

Studying electricity and its effects isn't classed as science? ?

As I said, look for yourself. I read that years ago.

As above.

My daughter studied electricity and its effects - almost everyone does - at school - that does not make her a "scientist"TANGODANCER wrote:

to be a "scientist" you would need to have a significant qualification and/or a profession in science.
Collin describes himself as an "anti-scientist" if you are interested....
I never said being a Nazi German did stop anyone being a scientist - so your point is lost on me. And Collin isn't German anyway - he is American-Jewish. (being Jewish is what got him chucked out of the Nazi group, the National Socialist Party of America.)TANGODANCER wrote:I didn't say it was and you know it. anyway - believe it or not - I am interested in what you say... humour me...
what is Joseph/Collin's scientific theory about this acacia box having great power?

So hang on, you think the idea that Atlantis is real, is anything other than mental? Is this the same underwater city that Plato made up?TANGODANCER wrote:I've pondered my answer at great length. Well, he wrote of it I admit, but where exactly does it state he made it up? Do you mean Patrick Duffy was only acting and it isn't real?Prufrock wrote:So hang on, you think the idea that Atlantis is real, is anything other than mental? You might go back to my first post and note the bits about theories, not scientific findings, nobody really knowing etc etc and save us all a lot of trouble and, for some I'm sure, much boredom. If you wish to believe you won something, be my guest. As you were, I'm off detecting.
