You! You actually think that you can compare one player by dint of his 120 mins or so against one that's played for us for 13 years?lonestar wrote:who the feck are you talking to you keyboard warrior tosser.Bruce Rioja wrote:Good fecking grief!lonestar wrote:bogden's as bad as jussi for getting chipped

You can't even spare the lad the common courtesy of spelling his name correctly.
What would our club do without shitheads like you?
Aye, on you go.

May the bridges I burn light your way
We should of been dead and Buried anyway, we was only in the game from an awful mistake by them, brillaint comporsure from Lee and Excellent positioning from Elmander! Davies kept Fab onside for there second but everyone fails to see thatnorm the jedi wrote:sending off changes the game .. that and our inability to get a single decision in our favour..

I'd have thought that, given he quoted you in his post, it was perfectly obvious who he was talking to.lonestar wrote:who the feck are you talking to you keyboard warrior tosser.Bruce Rioja wrote:Good fecking grief!lonestar wrote:bogden's as bad as jussi for getting chipped

And he's right. The kid is 2 full games into his Wanderers career, and just because we're having a bad day at the office, people have to find a scapegoat.

Which is fine...and I don't disagree...except you've gone a bit OTT on the challenges point...but I feel that after Cahill went off heads dropped and we gave Arsenal too much respect...which we seem to have realised since goal #4. If I were OC I'd be dissapointed with that - it was like our lads were resigned to it. Changes for Villa I think. Petrov, Holden on dodgy ground IMO.truewhite15 wrote:Except that the way the ref's looked 2nd half, any sort of challenge on them is likely to result in a free-kick/penalty to them and/or a card of some colour.officer_dibble wrote:People to show for the ball and not be afraid to put a challenge in!truewhite15 wrote:We're down to ten men and getting nothing from the ref against an Arsenal team that can pass it's way around bigger and better teams than us with 11. We've done better than we'd have expected against an Arsenal team which are touted for a title challenge. If it wasn't for a shocking red card decision, then I'd have fancied us for a point. Not with ten men.

Yes he was clearly entirely to blame... the two centre halves watching the ball they were underneath leaving two arsenal attackers unmarked 6 yards out inside the frame of the goals should be applauded for their class...Sir Nut wrote:We should of been dead and Buried anyway, we was only in the game from an awful mistake by them, brillaint comporsure from Lee and Excellent positioning from Elmander! Aye, well, I'm known to exaggerate a bit when ref's have been w*nkers on a couple of decisions...officer_dibble wrote:Which is fine...and I don't disagree...except you've gone a bit OTT on the challenges point...but I feel that after Cahill went off heads dropped and we gave Arsenal too much respect...which we seem to have realised since goal #4. Our heads probably did drop, but to an extent, you can't blame them - and yes, I fully expect to see Coyle blasting them, cos it just wasn't acceptable. In short, I agree!!

Need to start seeing some discipline from our senior players. Some cool heads, composure ffs. We may have been robbed, we'll see when we've taken our matchday rose-tints off, but if you give the referee a decision to make when the crowds still fired up from Davo's clash of heads when there's no danger then it's a pointless sending off.

Fair enough. Looking again was probably a booking, certainly a foul, although they were clean through had he played advantage, but red card? Cock no. Pathetic. They're so unlikeable. o'brien for Petrov... 3 games for Cahill now ?
incidentally it's been a yellow card offence since usa 1994

After Barca we just played proberbly the next best team in the world at knocking a ball round a football pitch, something we will never match them doing! Our down fall was silly errors when we should have shut them out, a draw was a distinct possibility today but players individual errors and getting sucked into the myth of kicking Arsenal off the pitch screwed that one up. Cool heads and no mistakes a point was ours, we lost our heads and the game, simples.
Gonna put that one down to a shit day at the office for the official.
The fact that SSN have even said it looked like a blunder by the ref says it all.
As for Bogdan, got another quality keeper in out midst. No wonder Al Habsi wanted to go to Wigan.
Don't think he could be blamed for the 3, marginally the 4th. Kept it down to 4 with some great stops. A few of them were 1 on 1.
Reckon the club might Appeal the red card.

He's right Davo was partly at fault. Lazy to get out and played them onside. Defenders then lost their men. That said Mr Nut is like a stopped clock. Keep criticising Davies he's bound to make a balls up eventually.norm the jedi wrote:Yes he was clearly entirely to blame... the two centre halves watching the ball they were underneath leaving two arsenal attackers unmarked 6 yards out inside the frame of the goals should be applauded for their class...Sir Nut wrote:We should of been dead and Buried anyway, we was only in the game from an awful mistake by them, brillaint comporsure from Lee and Excellent positioning from Elmander! This is the team we need to send out next week, he is NEVER going to drop Davies so he has to do this.

If your gonna play Davies Coyle that team will work, theres no point playing wingers and playmakers when they have noone to feed and dont fecking use them!

Sending off ruined our chances.
Feel we gave Arsenal too much respect and defended terribly for all the goals.
Bogdan was our best player, in that he only made a mistake (or possibly two...not sure). Everyone else made several!
Ref was the biggest 'homer' I've seen for a while. Still, its Atwell. He seems determined to make a name for being the biggest cnut in the premier league now Roy Keane and Robbie Savage have gone.
But it was Arsenal away...with 10 men...though we have to stop going down to 10 men. Another needles sending off (if Cahill had pushed him over, yeller card max, regardless of whether the ref got it wrong - and he did).
Was disappointed with Petrov and Holden in particular, though Robinson and Knight were steamrollered at the end and looked poor.
Would prefer Ricketts at CB than AOB next match, though we may successfully appeal Cahills red card I guess.

Fook me why is it that some folk lose all perspective on match day.
Its Arsenal away. We've not won there since 1962. When did we even take a point away there? I can't remember one at the Emirates, think you're back at Highbury days.
We were right in the game then the referee intervened and sent Cahill off harshly.
Arsenals second goal was probably the game turner however, we can't gift em goals like that but lets be honest, they're miles ahead of us and all the teams who will be around is in the table.. And they will smash a lot of teams at home against 11, let alone 10.
Not sure games like this tell you much other than there are encouraging signs that with 11 on the pitch we at least game em a decent game.
