so.. to sum up - under megson - what you are saying is this...
we occasionally had a massive piece of luck and went a goal up - then through his shite management we threw away the lead?
that's what you seem to be saying...
Annoyed, penalty shout on Lee, and a defo one on Elmander, that would also have seen Dunne have to go. Mike Dean is a c*nt. Overall though, disappointment at only one point from Villa Park is a nice feeling!

On a more positive note, a good looking bench with attacking options, a good sign of intent. I see Rodrigo made it which is a reasonably good sign im sure (means he's better than Riga?

Eh, they've been like this as long as I've been here. And if a particular poster is the source of this grief one could always ignore the tedious little gobshite.

Great result. Good performance from everyone.
Superbly worked and finished goal.
Shame the ref was blind again regarding penalties, we'll get our comeuppance.
Before the game I'd have taken a point, at the end I'm disappointed not to have won.
Holden was immense, Lee did well, Ricketts did okay considering, Bogdan looked sharp.
Was a little confused why Muamba was pulled, but we looked more threatening after wards.
We're above Multi-Million Dollar Manchester City!

Its never happened, its never been fecking tried, thats my bloody point.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote:Sir Nut wrote:
How am i a fool, we will play better when he's not in the team and you'll see when it eventually happens. He's a pro footballer and has to do at least something. His overall contribution isnt good enough. Iv already said it was a good finish but take him out of the team and we will improve, especially if its for Klasnic.
Examples please or your argument is redundant.
I can name three games this season alone where your least favourite player has got us out of a sticky patch with his "at least something" footballing.
How can contributing to and scoring goals, gaining free kicks, and being captain be an "overall contribution that isn't good enough"?
Again, you make yourself look a fool with your words.
Contributing and scoring goals........ He's scored 54 in 7-8 seasons for us (his best season coming under Megson), he hardly ever assists and we play 95% of our game to him by hoofing it when he should only be used as a set piece player. He is not captain material, he used to lead by example and you dont need to be captain to do that (when he used to chase the full backs down) i loved them days and he was probably bodering on being my fav player in terms of effort and heart since being captain he's lost alot of the passion and effort. I never see him rallying the troops or anything to do with motivation, i never see him organising, i never see Coyle passing messages on to him to pass on to the team, if anything i see Robinson talking to Coyle in breaks more than any other player.

Whatever happens in the final few minutes it's been a decent display.
But you can't say it, can you. Meanwhile you actively seek one of our players to get a suspension.
I wonder why you've been barred from other sites ?!?!
Unable to accept a decent act by a player you don't rate, or from players bought by the new manager.
... & YOU say "two more yellow cards" for Davies ... and apparently I'M a "numpty.
& then you, YOU of all people criticise a person's spelling ! Jeez.
Utter, complete, total, absolute, unmitigated, absolute wnkr.
Im barred from 1 site because they thought i had a duplication account when my dad signed up (somnetimes i post at his house).
I credited Davies s goal saying it was a great finish and think he's had an half decent game today but his overall contribution isnt good enough for the players in the team, we have players on the bench who would fit in better.
Yes i cant fecking wait till Davies is suspended, our performance will be 100% better and we'll play football with the strikers droping and the midfielders pushing.
Villa where awfull today, worst team in the prem iv seen so far, a team thats been battered by Newcastle 6 0 and you can see why, so predictable and just went wide and tried to cross it with Agbonlahor in the box, they where shocking and houlier has a massive job on his hands!
Yes we played alright today and probably should of won it.
If I'd spoken to you and said Davis, or Davies, or Dayvis, you would have assumed Super Kev as he was the player under discussion at the time. However, I do acknowledge that you either don't have the brain to analyse current converasation, spoken or written, or you're just a pig ignorant kid, hence I will overlook your impertinence. However, I also think you are NOT a Trotter, you're dad should give you a bloody good thumping for denigrating his team and the newsagent should sack you from your paper round. Tosser!
Davies (wow I spelled it right!) is not my God, but is one I do admire. However, I have never wished for one of our players to be suspended and never trotted out oodles of drivel simply to get some sort of cheap thrill from winding up people. You are indeed very sad. Probably why you live away from your dad. He's sensible and doesn't wish to know you. I expect your Mom , because you are a Mommy's boy, aren't you?, only bothers with you when she needs someone to carry her shopping and your brothers and sisters laugh at you because you fancy footballers and managers, particularly Megson in a very unhealthy way. And your season ticket (sigh). Probably all part of your fantasy world little man. Now toodle off and be a good boy.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.
No what im saying is we played to our strenghts and when used right Davies is a massive one, we put them under pressure with long throws, corners, free kicks (anywhere inside there half and bombarded them) till we scored! when we did the other team automatically push for an equaliser therefore we had no outlet so it bounced back until they scored, then they would sit back again then we would bomabared them, i think we led about 16 times in the first half of last season and due to what iv just stated was the reason why we couldnt push on and win comfortably.thebish wrote:Sir Nut wrote:Megson, but for the exact same reason why we dont go infront nowadays or put the pressure on first. We are currently playing better than we have done for nigh on two years. The spirit is glowing and growing, we've got some rad players, and a sick manager. Getting good results.
All you can do is dis the current setup, and claim that the last manager is better than the current one, and claim that one of our best players (based on current statistical and figurative evidence) contribution isn't good enough.
Please, name me one other Premiership captain, who has played as many minutes, scored as many as Davies from open play, and scored as many penalties, and been "there" for the team.
I think you're a little paranoind cuz, I ain't sniping at you, we're having a discussion. Think of it as me taking you to one side, away from everyone else and letting you know that you do look a fool, just being honest with you G.

Well I don't think any of us were expecting that, were we? Giving the Villans a right fight in their own backyard and being unlucky not to take all the points for ourselves. That's about 3 penalties already this season that haven't been called For CYL, and if his shout today was a bit iffy then Elmo's certainly wasn't. It's a shame the ref screwed us out of 3 points but at least he didn't/couldn't screw us out of the 1 that we rightly earned.
I don't think Muamba was injured; Mark Davies was the 'positive' sub that we can expect from Coyle. Others in the past, who shall remain nameless, would not have made such a positive substitution and the game would have probably been lost late in the second half while trying to cling to a point. That being said, I think Mark Davies should start against ManUtd in a 5-man midfield next week. We all saw briefly what he could do last season until Gallas did not foul him but somehow managed to break his leg. He deserves a shot to get a full 90 under his belt. Muamba sitting behind Holden and Mavis could provide an interesting midfield dynamic for us.
I spotted a rare sight today: Petrov celebrating with the team followed shortly by a smile from the Bulgarian! I think he's has a bit of a self-applied weight on his shoulders and the assist today has done wonders in lifting it. Hopefully he can continue in this vein; he seemed utterly frustrated with himself for the past several matches.

F*ck the bellend, we were pretty good today, took the match to Villa for large portions. Never would have happened in the last couple of years, as results will bear out.

I'm a happy Wanderer tonight. Great result against Villa. SKD to the rescue and the team looking really good in the second half. Surprised to hear that we were going for the win in the second half. All in all a very pleasant day

Anyway its called vision and putting 2 and 2 together its not hard to see Elmander and Klasnic would compliment each other more than the current partnership, with taking Davies out of the team, it will force us to play it from the back and aim for the free man instead of doing the same predictable ineffective crap over and over again.
We played some great football last season as things where starting to come together this is just one of the games where we played some great football, the football at present with the players in his squad is nowhere near the potential and thats down to the manager.
Watch this game and you'll see some great passing moves, mainly without Davies involved.

Im yet to see a goal under the current manager to match Lee's, pure class.
I claim that the current manager is mis using the team and not adapting to certain players strenghts, its like he had the plan before he assesed everything then stuck to it which isnt good management, I think Coyle is a nice guy and a good motivator but an awful tactician and cant adapt to different situations against different teams.
So what your saying is he's captain because he scores the odd goal, scores a penalty and been there for the team? Im guessing most people on the site will be pissing themselves at this, but wont openly admit it because its me your speaking to, that is the most ludicrous comment i have ever seen, so what your saying is Rooney should be captain for Man Utd, Drogba should be captain for Chelsea, Bent should be captain for Sunderland and so on, i dont think you know what a captains job is and you have totally missed the concept of the word ''Captain''.
I aint paranoid Homie!

Cracking result. Was expecting the worst considering our current situation and how inept we have been in the past against Villa. Coyle's impact is certainly evident (2-2 from being 2-0 down with 10 men and 1-1 after being 1-0 down against the Villa).
It's pretty safe to say we're not expecting anything from the Man Utd game so I think we can say the pressures off on that game. Hopefully the lads will come good and give us something to celebrate at Burnley.
It would've been all to easy for the players to put in a bad shift today given the 4-1 defeat against Arsenal but they held strong and we looked the better sides for long periods in the match.
