2005/6 Leading Assist tally - SKD (with Stelios)
2006/7 Leading Assist tally - SKD - on his own, three clear of Speed, Joof and Anelka
2007/8 Leading Assist tally - Joof with 7, SKD second with 5
2008/9 Leading Assost tally - Stenier/Taylor with 5, SKD second with 4
2009/10 Leading Assist tally - SKD with 11 - three clear of CYL
2010/11 - currently joint 2nd with 1 behind CYL with 2.
Lets go another way - SKD was 16th highest on assists in the Prem last season.
Ill do it in baby talk for you.thebish wrote:I haven't misunderstood at all.Sir Nut wrote:
Incorrect Bish you must of mis understood pal,
you wrote (in response to my question about throwing away leads under megson)
there is is quite plainly in your own words.SirNut wrote:For us to score first we have to get a massive piece of luck, i hated the fact that Megson left Davies on when we where 1 or 2 up with 30 mins ago.
to score first under Megson we needed a massive piece of luck - and then - he cocked up his substitutions so that we threw it away.
that is what you wrote.
1. Coyle doesnt play to players strenghts, we hardly go in front in games due to that.
2. Megson played players to there strenghts so usually we took the lead in most games.
3. yes he cocked up with his subs.
Iv stated all of these previously.
I wouldnt care if he got none, as long as he took part in the build up to the goal or chance and it was effective above 75% of the time, but at the moment everything he's involved in works about 10% of the time, this includes his passing, shooting, positioning, his flick ons, his closing down ect ect.Worthy4England wrote:How many do you think he should get then?Sir Nut wrote:Again that is shocking given the fact all of our game is played around his strenghts!Worthy4England wrote:So you've changed from hardly ever assists then?Sir Nut wrote:That tally is shocking given the fact 95% of our game as been played around him and to his strenghts.Worthy4England wrote: How fcuking unsurprising that as usual, you can't fcuking work out facts.

Today we gained a point at a place we usualy lose at. First pen appeal was stonewall for me. The elmo one, personally, seeing it again I think he just lost the ball and fell over. M Dean should be made to explain why he didn't award the CYL pen appeal. We still gave the ball away too much in the 1st half, addressed it in the second. On another day (possibly with anyone but Friedel in goal), we could have won 4-1. Great performances all round, but Holden needs to work out when to move forwrd and when to stay, quite a few balls from them bypassed his position. Robinson improves weekly. Realylooking forward to the Man Ure game. On todays display it could end up 7-7. Optimism is raised again in my house.

Listen, wobblebollox. Has it entered your fruit and nut box that there are no shite teams in the Premiership? Does it ever occur to you that most teams have good defences and scoring goals isn't half as simple as you make it seem. Can you accept we'll probably have to play out of our skins every game to finish halfway up the table? Is there any possible way to make you see that Kevin Davies is put in there to unsettle defences and drag men around. He did that today (despite being side-lined till the last minute after suspected concussion last week), put some really nice touches in, got us a few free kicks and scored the one goal ( brilliantly) that kept us in the game? He does that because, whilst Klasnic is a goal poacher, ninety minutes of the sort of batterings KD gets would have him in the physio most regular list. Is all this really beyond your comprehension. If it is, you shouldn't be on here but playing football games on X Box.Sir Nut wrote:

Now I'm getting a little lost, how do you not take part in the build up to goals, when you're credited with the assist for them?Sir Nut wrote:I wouldnt care if he got none, as long as he took part in the build up to the goal or chance and it was effective above 75% of the time, but at the moment everything he's involved in works about 10% of the time, this includes his passing, shooting, positioning, his flick ons, his closing down ect ect.Worthy4England wrote:How many do you think he should get then?Sir Nut wrote:Again that is shocking given the fact all of our game is played around his strenghts!Worthy4England wrote:So you've changed from hardly ever assists then?Sir Nut wrote: That tally is shocking given the fact 95% of our game as been played around him and to his strenghts.

Lampard had the most in the league last year with 17, but Chelsea got 103 goals so he set up 16.5% of them.
Davo got 8 assists, we scored 42 so he set up 19% of them. You're contention that 95% of everything we do goes through Davo in some sort of position that he could create a goal is quite frankly ludicrous. I think 19% is a reasonable effort.
The other stikers ahead of him on total assists, created proportionally less. Anelka < 10%, Drogba 12.6% etc.

Best away performance for many a year....
Watched in a pub packed to the rafters. every BWFC fan surprised by the quality of our performance - we where clearly the better side.
OC please use this as a benchmark....2nd half especially we took the game to Villa - we played with tempo, moved the ball quickly and played with some pace and we passed the ball well and took the game to Villa.....more of the same please
Its took a a few years but PT was proud of our performance today....

No because if you did other people might want to use phrases like knob-cheese and arsewipe and the like and then it would get silly, so I probably think you wouldn't get permission to call another poster "bellend".Lord Kangana wrote:Do I have permission to add "you're a bit of a bellend too" to that Tango?

Quite so. Just gets dafter and I apologise for my contributions today. If you shaved Robbo's head you'd probably find a Bolton birthmark on his scalp.Dr King wrote:A couple of quotes from the guys sat behind me in the pub.
'Robinson has a nightmare every game. Get him off and get Alonso on. He's 19 for f**ks sake.'
'Why didn't we start with mark davies and holden in midfield instead of muamba?'
Makes you wonder sometimes.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

It's at times like that I realise that I cannot engage someone with such disparate views as it is highly likely it will just result in a 'i'm right' 'no I'm right' type argument.

I couldn't be arsed reading through what's been written on here, so I'll just give you my view having been there. For the first 15 / 20 minutes I feared a repeat drubbing - they were, if not all over us then certainly the far better side. At first they seem to have recognised Robinson as our weak spot and sent everything down our left. Step up Zat Knight. The guy was nothing short of an absolute embarrassment today - a laughing stock.
Andy O'B was doing ok until he went off, Ricketts was resolute when he came on. In midfield, Petrov was lively but tired and OC swapped him for Taylor at the right time, I thought. When Mavies was stripped I expected him to be coming on for Holden, which I couldn't understand as he was, for me, our man of the match. That he swapped him for Muamba was perhaps even more perplexing. I met Muamba after the match and asked him if he'd picked up a knock? To which he replied "No, the Gaffer just wanted to try something different".
LCY was looking every bit like a luxury player until he delivered the cross that led to our goal. I was hoping that he might have another similar moment but it never came.
Up front Kevin Davies was, not to put too fine a point on it, fecking immense! I say up front - he was also the fastest to get back into the back line when Villa broke, usually as Knight was lumbering back from one of our set pieces. Today was not Elmander's day, I'm afraid. Today, his going to ground quite so easily was no less ridiculous as Knight's claims to be a Premier League footballer.
All in all though, if only our players could compose themselves in front of goal - we'd have won today, and deservedly so.
