There was only 8,000 turned up at home this time last year to watch us beat West Ham...General Mannerheim wrote:Yes, sold sround 2000. Pathetic really. Exiles & paraplegics aside, I just can’t understand why any self respecting Bolton fan would not be itching to go to Turf Moor tonight.BWFC_Insane wrote:Yes its pay on the gate for adult tickets.Lord Kangana wrote:Just checking (cos can't be arsed being on hold for 20 mins) is this pay on the gat tonight? Might not be able to make the ticket office unless absolutely have to!
Have to go to their ticket office for concessions.

It’s cheap, its local, it’s not on TV and the atmosphere is gonna be electric!
Out of 14,000 ST holders, we have only sold about 15% of that number (yet somehow everyone I know is going tonight?) plus, id be willing to bet only half of that are actually St holders anyway! It just doesn’t compute to me how somebody would be fanatical enough to fork out for a ST, yet have no intention of going tonight?
However, judging by the amount of posts ive read here and elsewhere about paying on the gate, im optimistic a fair few more will be turning up tonight.
It's obviously something to do with playing minor teams in Claret and Blue in the second round of a Cup comp.

Can't see it getting to 20K.East Lower wrote:Burnley fans have only sold 12,000. I'd expect the attendance to be around 20,000 with walk-ons from both sides.
Wanderers fans who are able to go, and don't, should be ashamed of themselves if they're not there tonight.
Didn't they only get a 16K gate for their league game against Preston the other week?
I'd imagine if the numbers you say are true it'll be about 16K absolute maximum.
I'm underwhemed by early rounds of this cupEast Lower wrote:Burnley fans have only sold 12,000. I'd expect the attendance to be around 20,000 with walk-ons from both sides.

If this game was this time next month, you wouldn't see me in Bolton for dust - I'd be screaming my heart out at Turf Moor. Regrettably, rehearsals and that most painful of student ailments (skintness) have put the skidders on. I will be on the phone the entire night checking scores and performances - and probably earning more than a few dirty looks from the director in the process.

There's nowt worse than people spouting on a f*cking messageboard about how 'pathetic' fans are for not going - get a grip.
That one was for you, General.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

I was being ironic - I'd seen the same claim made before by others and thought the joke might be appreciated. Maybe I should have include a smiley at the end.as wrote:We'll sell more than 2k.

already sold over 2k, but out of an allocation of 4k - reckon we'll be looking at about 3k all said and done.as wrote:We'll sell more than 2k.

which normally would be handsome for a 3rd round league cup night match, but its a bit more than that tonight.

Were there no Owen Coyle factor doubt we'd take more than 1500 to be honest.General Mannerheim wrote:already sold over 2k, but out of an allocation of 4k - reckon we'll be looking at about 3k all said and done.as wrote:We'll sell more than 2k.

How do people know we've sold over 2K? I don't know how people get this info. Do you know someone in the ticket office?

If you call them to book a ticket, and ask, then they'll usually tell you. Was 1890 or something as of last nightBWFC_Insane wrote:Were there no Owen Coyle factor doubt we'd take more than 1500 to be honest.General Mannerheim wrote:already sold over 2k, but out of an allocation of 4k - reckon we'll be looking at about 3k all said and done.as wrote:We'll sell more than 2k.

It's about 2,000.
If it was 1,890 and they were still selling them this morning.
I predict using some farily scientific heuristics that it might be around 2,001 on that basis.
Oh and no point ringing 'em. They stopped selling them at 13:00.

Just amuses me that folk are ringing the ticket office to ask how many we've sold. I just imagine them ringing with a dirty old man voice "ey up how many we sold for Burnley".

I bet you're glad I asked, otherwise you wouldn't know
