Perhaps because it's Scottish, like the OP?William the White wrote:No - just wondered why Baxters. I thought it was 8 million plus Braaten - so the actual cost would be the positive or negative value one ascribes to Braaten looked pretty good on youtube mindLord Kangana wrote:You missed the joke there, but anyway, I've always posted between £8m and £11m. There are an equal number of sources that quote figures all through that range, and therefore I keep an open mind.

Thats one of 'em Monty. Though my recollection is that Worthy delved into our accounts, and when removing all other outgoings found around £3m unaccounted for after all transfers. It may well have been agents fees and the like, but as I say, I'm keeping an open mind on this with the lack of conclusive proof, cos lets be honest here, they knew how unpopular Megson was already, they weren't about to make his job harder by declaring they'd spent most of the Anelka money on an unheard of, untried, Swede. It would be PR suicide.Montreal Wanderer wrote:I thought it was 8 million plus Braaten - so the actual cost would be the positive or negative value one ascribes to Braaten looked pretty good on youtube mindLord Kangana wrote:You missed the joke there, but anyway, I've always posted between £8m and £11m. You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I always picture him in sort of a Desperate Dan stylee - cowpie the size of a hubcap in one hand, complete with tail and horns, holding Patrice Evra's flailing form high above his head with the other...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Oxtail.
