Who committed the penalty? And how can it be a penalty if the linesman has raised his flag for offside...
He didn't raise it for offside, Chief. He raised his flag because it'd gone about a foot over the line. Shame really
Well that's even more confusing. How can a penalty be committed while the ball is out of play?
Sorry Sons, I mean the ball had gone a foot over the goal line. The linesman put the flag across his chest which indicates a goal. The ref didn't see it, but had to consult with the linesman to make sure, nobody knew what was happening until the ref indicated to the centre spot
If he put it across his chest he gave a penalty.

Burnley goal: Chris Eagles crosses from the right and the ball falls for Wade Elliott, who hooks the ball in at the far post. The linesman's flag initially goes up but, after consultation with referee Mark Clattenburg, the goal is allowed to stand.
I suspect foul play.

Linesman's signal for a goal is short sprint 20-30 yards towards the halfway line, unless he doesnt think the referee has seen it in which case he waves his flag and then sprints the 20-30 yards. Presumably this is what happened. Anyway. F*ck 'em. I work with a load of six fingers, and I have my response ready: "With a full strength team, at home, in what was your biggest game of the season, yet not even our biggest of the week, you beat us. Well done. We still took your manager and stayed up whilst you got relegated. F*ck off."
:D

Hahahahaha. Best response ever

Just going off GMR commentary chief, that's what the Dearden said and then they gave the goal

I wonder if he's going to stick with this team. With all those first teamers on the bench we might be able to pull something out of the hat. Unless he doesn't want a cup run. 8)

Coyle has given the right players a start, he needs to keep all the players match fit for the last part of the season.

Only two real first teamers on there, but still a relatively ok team. I wouldn't mind seeing any of them in the PL at some point - though obviously not all at the same time, For the first time in ages we actually have reserves. Now all they'll need to do is prove me right and win!
Oh coitus!

Does a night off in September 6 games in make a whole lot of fitness difference next April... Keep this up and they can all put their feet up and watch the Champions league on't tele with the rest of us... They'll be as fit as butchers dogs..
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

Cohen smashes wide! Balls.

I think when we have a team of reserves like we have now a day off for the likes of Petrov and Lee will make a difference

Bit of whites pressure here, Cohen should have scored.

We've woken up and Cohen lashes it into the side netting.

About time really TD, we seem to have let this half get away from us a little.

For Rodrigo and Klasnic respectively, in the 73rd minute. Looks like Coyle is going for it but will 17 minutes be enough?
