I come in peace... i.e. a Manchester United fan

Not quite as good as walking up Trafford Road the night Worthy scored 2 against the feckers though.
I'm a Bolton fan from Bolton, he was a Utd fan from Hull.
On the way home the miserable c**t sulked like an infant

Troll and proud of it.

I was in a pub near Middlesborough when we drew two-two with them a few years ago. The Irish (arms folded throwing toys out of pram spoilt five year old expression on face) landlord threatened to turn the tv off if I cheered again when we scored. I kid you not. Red rag to a bull really, and the tv ended up off. What a child.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Only an Irishman could throw toys with his arms folded.Lord Kangana wrote:I was in a pub near Middlesborough when we drew two-two with them a few years ago. Re: I come in peace... i.e. a Manchester United fan
First, Owensie, welcome. You seem polite & so should be treated as such.
But can I ask ... where do you live ? Anywhere near Stretford ?
1. What do you think would be a good season for United? And where do you think we will finish in the league?
You’ll be second to Chelsea
2. What do you think would be a good season for Bolton Wanderers? And where do you think you will finish in the league?
Maximum 8th, minimum 15th. 10th will do me, plus the benefit of nicer football & just a modicum of respect.
3. Who is your one player to watch?
Lee ... possibly Elmander, tho I fear Vidic will close him down.
4. Who is your best signing of the summer?
Petrov once he settles.
5. Which United player do you fear most?
Rooney. He usually arrives here on the back of a poor run & launches a series of new form against us. The little fecker even did it when he played for Everton.
You know those players who ALWAYS show well against you ... & the only realistic option is to buy him ? Well, expect a bid very, very soon.
6. Which of your players has something to prove this season?
Elmander
7. What will the score be when we meet?
A closer than expected game, but realistically a draw would be an achievement for us.
8. What do you think of Sir Alex Ferguson as a manager?
I note you’ve been very specific & left it “as a manager”. How can anyone quibble with him.
If you’d removed “...ager” and left it at “as a man ...” he’s horrible. Even you guys must see this.
9. How do you rate our support ? Do you like/dislike United fans?
Stretford fans from Stretford ... why should they not support their local club ?
Stretford fans from all points west ... & north ... & south ..... tosspots.
However, the fckg spoilt whinging from the ‘Love United ...’ and the FCUM breask aways & the green & yellows etc., etc. They should get a life.
Finally, the fact that there’ll be 5,000 or so here this week who will just stand throughout, because they don’t do doing as they are required too should be pinpointed, arrested, fined & banned from football grounds for ..... well, ever.
Rant over.
10. If you could take one of our players for your team, who would it be?
Well, here & now Rooney, no debate.
Look at your team & say “God, I wish he’d been ours ... “ ... Giggs, closely followed by Scholes. They come close to actually having my respect, which no Stretford player has had since ..... since .... since .....
Nope, since never.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

1. What do you think would be a good season for United? And where do you think we will finish in the league?
A good season for your lot is the Prem with a couple of shiny trinkets. While you might get the shiny trinkets, Chelsea will beat you to the Prem. 2nd.
2. What do you think would be a good season for Bolton Wanderers? And where do you think you will finish in the league?
A good season is top 10. I reckon we'll either scrape that in 10th, or finish as low as 13th.
3. Who is your one player to watch?
YOU should watch Elmander. Much improved. Evra will be watching SKD verrrry closely...
4. Who is your best signing of the summer?
Petrov. He's the only summer signing that's made it into our first 11.
5. Which United player do you fear most?
Whichever striker you play up front.
6. Which of your players has something to prove this season?
The aforementioned Elmander. But Sam Ricketts will be on a mission to oust either Knight or Cahill at CB...
7. What will the score be when we meet?
Anywhere between us nicking it and you spanking us.
8. What do you think of Sir Alex Ferguson as a manager?
As a manager? Top notch, very few better tactically on the pitch. As a manager off the pitch, he's an odious whining irritating Scottish get who should be retiring soon.
9. How do you rate our support ? Do you like/dislike United fans?
Your support is generally good. I dislike United fans who don't have a valid reason to be United fans (valid reasons being "coming from Manchester" or "my Dad supported them") and I especially dislike United fans who don't sit in your own f*cking end. A word to the wise. Those who sit in our end and then flaunt it generally get punched in the nose.
10. If you could take one of our players for your team, who would it be?
Just the one? I reckon John O'Shea. Versatile and underrated.

I'm from Dublin. I support my local team Bray Wanderers, who are one of the worst teams in the Irish top flight. I'm a season ticket holder there, or I was up until this year. I still go most weeks but the recession hasn't been kind to me.bobo the clown wrote:First, Owensie, welcome. You seem polite & so should be treated as such.

My grandad lived in Manchester for a few years so that's how he and my old man started supporting United.
If you want any information regarding Stretford fans, the green and gold campaign or FCUM, feel free to join manutdtalk. We have several threads and some very knowledgable mods who are from Salford.

How do you like the seats at Bray? I seem to recall that when Burnden Park was demolished you got our cast offs!
