Cheers Worthy, you are a good man. That was truly an epic fail in the early post. I would suggest for Premier League failure Daniel Braaten. Looked good on youtube

What an absolute tw*t of an article.

It suggests a wonderflop is an expensive signing who fails to produce, then names Kaku, Ba and Jardel. Utter sh*t.

Akin Bulent. £1million for 45 minutes of inadequacy.
Wayne Burnett. McFarland spent so much time, money and effort getting on Burnett's case, only for Burnett to spend a lot of time and effort on other people's cases.
Peter Beardsley. Yes, you were very good at everything you'd done before you came to us. But you looked like you'd just turned up on matchdays for us.

I have to give Mr Shittu my vote from recent times....Don't think he was quite as bad as some would have you believe, but two million quid +add-ons???!!!!

Watford must have been cocking themselves.

In the same vein Heidar Helguson. £1m for a player who's been Championship at best his whole career
Pfffft.

Jardel, no fee but I can only imagine a shed load in wages and agent fees to bring over a bloke who made the fooking ground shake when he ran.

And a tribunal in which we had to give his club circa £1.5m. Let's not forget, he was still under contract when we got him for 'free'

I remember seeing Jardel and Emerson Thome warming up together on the touchline at QPR's ground (v. Fulham?).

One wag started singing '' Brazil! It's just like watching Brazil!''

Interesting note tho about Jardel's coke abuse. I never knew that. Goes someway to explaining why he was sh*te after scoring so many in the years prior to coming to us.

I too never knew of the coke abuse, but I was under the impression that I'd heard at the time that the reason we got him was because he was having some kind of mental health issues. By which I mean I'm sure he'd had some kind of breakdown in Portugal or other and Sam thought he could weave his magic?

I'm sure I've read that, any one else?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
