totally into this nostalga (sorry), wonderful to realise that every overachieving bastard that ever appeared for the stiffs cost next to nothing, but was sold on, for quids, to suckers mostly - best one being the villa.

i'm too late into this cracking disscussion to make any impact, but it made me realise that all the club's acheivements were made by kids, losers, failures, has beens, old farts and cast offs: apart from the youth angle, this must surely describe our wonderful friend Ivan Campo. I've no idea what he cost the club, but whatever it was, it was money well spent. Smashing!
