Stoke at the Reebok...
Also known as the homecoming of England striker and Bolton Wanderers hardman Skipper, Super Kevin Davies. Anyone else REALLY looking forward to hearing what sort of reception he gets when his name is called out?
(P.S. - Apologies if there's already a match thread, I didn't check the page before typing this...)

Aye, it was, but they still stuffed us. We were dire, and really got away with it. Possibly the worst of a very bad bunch of games under Megson.TKIZ! wrote:Wasn't it 1-1 at home with a very late Taylor pen?hisroyalgingerness wrote:We badly need a game at home. This is as good a game as any, but they stuffed us last season the dour beggars

Just said pretty much the same thing in another thread - cant wait to take part in giving him a great reception.truewhite15 wrote:Also known as the homecoming of England striker and Bolton Wanderers hardman Skipper, Super Kevin Davies. For some reason I always look forward to home games just a little bit extra following international breaks, I miss the routine
This is a crucial match for Dan Smith - he can cream the likes of Diaby and Nasri all he likes but it won't mean nowt if we let Stoke push us around.

I remember Rory Delap 'scoring' with a throw-in last time around. Good thing it doesn't count as a goal when the ball is thrown into the net without anyone touching it.
And I look forward to the SKD's reception as well. Would the Stoke fans actually join in on the cheering? A victory for unfashionable clubs everywhere? Shawcross already has some caps after all.

I'd absolutley love it if Kev, on his England homecoming, could have the game of his life topped by a typical Davies smashing-3-defenders-and-the-ball-over-the-line goal.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

TWSpy reliably informs me they come in the stoke minibus...
I was on the train with them from Manchester that day. They scared the holy bejesus out of me when one of them said 'we need id cards to come to away games as we've got a bad reputation'Salford Trotter wrote:http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/st ... ticle.html?
