Bad first touch, had a lunge, missed it, but his foot is low, he caught him with his ankle and the useless lump, at literally a foot taller, has gone down like he has been shot. Foul, yellow card. Get on with it. That said, if it had been any other Arsenal player I'd have pissed myself laughing, and Chamakh's Ashley Young esque 'anticipation of a foul' was embarrassing.
Funnily enough, what everyone else apart from Arsenal Footertainment fans have been saying for the past two years. But when the shoe's on the other foot, it's been 'assault'. So when people demand consistency from referees, how about a bit of the stuff from fans?

I think you might be waiting a while for it from that lot. Shame it had to be him though, by all accounts his attitude was spot on last year and he has been unbelievably good for them the last few weeks. Still worth that minor disappointment to see where the Arsenal imagination goes on how one of their lot gained the temerity to tackle. Probably Kevin Davies' fault.

Well i think its good news. Arsenal fans being the honourable Corinthians they are will demand an immediate free transfer of this thug.

Welcome back Jack.

that's OK then - cos Jack didn't mean it... it's just players who play against arsenal that mean it...
What's funnier, Bish is that they now have a pretty identical disciplinary record to us. They'll probably blame that on us as well. Or Big Dan Smith

... but what is ths doing to the image of the club ? The spirits of Keown, Vierra, Dixon, Adams, Storey etc., etc. must be shuddering as their legacy is laid waste.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Urinals have started sticking us for us now, it feels wrong. Interesting article about Fabregas comments on difference between English and Spanish football

Wilshere makes another slightly mistimed tackle tonight, which was very unfortunate. Just like saturday.

The sort of tackle that, had the shoe been on the other foot, would bring death threats from Arsenal fans. No Arsenal fans demanding his immediate trip to the canal in the bag? No? Strange, that....

United or no, it's a very honest defence of us. No claiming luck or anything else had anything to do with it all. I find it refreshing to see that sort of honesty whoever it's from. Obviously Arsenal hate our guts, and that's good, because we hate theirs.

I think, if you look closely, it is a Sheffield United "A United view". The author, Ian, is a Blades fan.

This will have been the one which Alan c*nt-face Green raged about & almost invited people to see Wilshire as the next Vinnie Jones then ?

I was in my car & heard him raving on about this bad habit he'd developed. He stopped short of suggesting where he picked it up. Had he said the inevitable I may have changed my plans & driven south !

But it wasn't that bad. Certainly nowhere near the De Jong tackle on yon Pieman, or Robinson's reducer on Diaby (which was a pretty bad one borne out of frustration with a shocking refereeing performance). It was merely a case of being there a fraction of a second too late, and when you try to go for a ball with enthusiasm, as we saw with Taylor and Shawcross, then the impact is magnified - particularly if the "victim"'s foot is planted.

It's bellends like Green who are ruining football.

Aye. I like the bit at the end :

Ian
Sheffield, United Kingdom
A Sheffield United fan and a football fan in general. Like to talk about football at all levels and not just the Blades at Beautiful Down Town Bramall Lane.

You'll have to go to the emirates for one game as punishment.
