I expect you sleep occasionally...Worthy4England wrote:You're not suggesting I'm occasionally argumentative are you?William the White wrote:Different circumstances.Worthy4England wrote:Indeed, what could be better than "no one watching" - no publicity because no one cares.
That said sir, it didn't seem to make sense to you when they were in Bolton.
But, since we've been round the hills on that one twice or three times we know each other's arguments, don't agree with them, and could only hold them again and again.
Still worthy, this gives you the opportunity to hold an argument about whether the argument is worthwhile continuing, and I wouldn't want to deprive you of the pleasure...

Crikey. Look at the old boy circled, then watch 18 seconds in as one of Her Majesty's tries to knock his block off, then a few more get a good dig in late on as they drag him away. If we're getting rid of a few coppers then I think we've found a good place to start.

May the bridges I burn light your way
We see nothing of what went on before the arrest, for a large section of that video we didn't see that section of the crowd.
Notice no mention of the EDL supporter found not guilty last week on here.
To be honest, any UAF who turned out that day were clearly spoiling for a ruck. Deserve all they got.
Nothing to stop them protesting away from Victoria Square.

No, what we do see though is a guy offering no physical threat whatsoever being lamped. You can use all the conjecture that you like but the pragmatists amongst us will deal with the facts as they're presented. I believe that William the White went along, utilising his right to peacefully protest. Now then, I've never met William personally but I'll be fecked before I'll be prepared to believe that he turned up spoiling for a ruck.finlayson wrote:We see nothing of what went on before the arrest

Well what had that lad done then? We don't see the before, no, but when that video starts there doesn't seem to be any trouble, the police guy is holding them back, suddenly he kicks off. The only way to tell he is with UAF is that he is next to a couple of asian kids. It wouldn't be OK if th epolice lamped a peacefully protesting EDL member, shithouses though they are.
In a world that has decided

Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I haven't seen any such story.. there was a UAF demonstrator who was found NOT GUILTY (of using threatening and abusive words and behaviour against a police officer) last week - his name is Dane Kelly - maybe finlayson is mixing up his protesters??William the White wrote:Must have missed that.finlayson wrote:We see nothing of what went on before the arrest, for a large section of that video we didn't see that section of the crowd.

Re: EDL Rally
Bump
Anyone see this covered on 'Coppers' on Monday night? I'd never seen the program before but I seem to recall a few on here saying it shows some the crap the Bobbies have to deal with. Undoubtedly true, but they didn't come across well at this thing imo.
Most shocking thing for me though was seeing a bloke I know from work being interviewed and then getting smacked off a copper later on. I think it's him that gets done in the video link posted before. A nicer, gentler bloke you couldn't wish to meet.
Apologies - just seen this discussed on What are you watching thread. Doh!

Re: EDL Rally
Coppers who do that should be jailed for assault!!
Clearly if people are rioting there is nothing wrong with a few quick bursts from an AK47 but if theres nowt going on and its a "bit of sport", their colleagues should turn their aim
