I just don't know why you are linking this year's bonfire "regulations" with Gordon Brown - why is that?

Running a country is easy, you ship out all the undesirables (or shoot them), anyone you owe money too you repay at YOUR interest rate and in your time or you put their fiscal systems in jepordy by witholding payment and if they get shirty remember you've got an ace called Trident up your sleeve

No crippling debt, no hoodies, what more could you ask for?

Ermmm nice try, except my money went to bailing them out after they once again demonstrated how a free market works, the private sector screws everyone dry then throws all the "little" folk overboard when things get bad, then goes cap in hand to the state that it has moaned about for years asking to be bailed out, then tries to blame it for not imposing more regulation (that it campaigned and fought bitterly against for years).Hoboh wrote:Muppets who hold a "bonfire party" but don't actually have a bonfire due to concearns about our good old pal H & feckin' S, then have the cheek let the fireworksoff 45min late after most people with small kids had started to go home because it was getting late!!! and no feckin' refund from the £10 + charged entrance fees just to get ripped off by the chav fairground tea leafs!
Organizers of such cockups will lined up on the wall and shot!!! (or given the option of a place in the labour party).
While I'm on one why has the Scottish thief not resigned from being an MP when he crumbled as leader of the ragbags? Folk are queing up dump soil on Thatcher, me I hope Brown has every mishap and calamity there is thrown at him while he breathes!!
We will suffer for that fools social engineering for decades to come, socialists should wake up to the fact that there are folk in life you DO NOT LIKE NOR WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH and stealing YOUR money to pay for them is just not on!!
Before anyone bleats about the bankers, if you don't like um don't use them!!! except due to your apathy its now getting difficult not to, don't like the TSB move your cash! British gas pee you off? go elsewherejuststop bleating everyone should be pouring into a pot for deadbeat deadheads, scroungers and hoodie w*nk*rs who cannot see past Stella and spliffs, shoot the feckin' lot!!![]()
I'd rather my money went to someone who might be a "layabout and scrounger" but is getting by on benefits than to a private bank.
Thank you very much indeed.
But its ok, the Tories have the answer. Take more away from kids than the bankers. Sounds good to me.

Still, it's about time that another bunch of duffers had a chance to screw the nation up biblically. Heaven knows, New Labour had a good old kick of the ball.
I was just worried that Hoboh seemed to be attending a bonfire night event organized by the labour party... it seemed odd!

anyway - what has the Marylebone Cricket Club got to do with it? Now you've really lost me!

Thats right. Because of a few parents who are irresponsible and don't use the money properly we should just penalise as many kids as possible in order to minimise the impact on those poor banks. Why stop at that eh?
The Tories are cutting prison places and reducing the police force, so why don't we lighten the load and legalise paedophilia?
I don't know what they are striking over, they may be justified, or may not, but in fairness, that is kind of the point of a strike. Not much point them doing it on national 'Eat Sandwiches, don't use chip pans, and stop cats climbing up trees' day is there?boltonboris wrote:Get rid of the tossers.. Firefighters in London are to strike on Bonfire Night in a row over new contracts, their union has said.
The 47-hour action will be the third strike date since the Fire Brigades' Union (FBU) announced strike action.
It said the dispute centred on plans to scrap current rotas and force staff to sign new contracts or face the sack.
But London fire authority chairman Brian Coleman asked: "What sort of union orders its firefighters to go on strike over bonfire night?"

2 of my mates are firefighters. both of them earn excellent wages, both of them sleep (practically) for a living

Anyway I don't know which planet you live on, all these good hardworking familys struggling to bring up kids? Bad ones the minority? Right a good pal of mine lives on a largish council estate and I nip round to see him fairly regular so let me enlighten you about these "poor" familys.
11pm kids in the streets running wild shouting screaming (3-6 year olds btw) caring adults? some half a dozen doors away or even in the next street smoking wacky and pissed!!! the older kids (early teens) come home after midnight totally wasted and bring about 20 mates home with them so the noise level goes up again, then one or two need a leak and use some poor sods garden (and these ain't just males either) someone remonstrates then the sh*t hits the fan and hordes of deadhead teen dicks arrive and usually something kicks off, the old Bill arrive most times 10 mins after everything calms down ask a few questions the go back to where ever they were hiding in the first place!!
1 these "responsable" adults don't work
2 this ain't just one night its most nights when not raining
3 DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT CHILD BENEFIT IS GOING TO THESE KIDS?
A gun and proper justice is required nowt else

1) Its really quite sad what you say. Do you think on the whole folk would choose to live like that, or do you think its because they haven't had the same chances/education/aspirational raising in life as others? I've seen plenty of "poor" families whose kids are told the value of education and work really hard, I believe there may even be some of those on here! But it comes down from generation to generation. Those kids are not given a chance, probably because their parents never were either. Rather than penalising them we should be looking to create a society where that is minimised. It can be done.
2) The vast majority of people are still good hardoworking folk who do their best. And they are being penalised as well.
Yes BWFCI hardworking people who do their best are being penalized, by those who don't
I'm not saying don't help folk but things like education etc have money thrown at them something the likes of which many older folk on here never saw during their schooldays and I admit there was the odd 1 or 2 w*nkers around then.
We are paying the price now for the socialist policies of the past that make things far too easy, no disipline in schools and in general, the impression folk are "owed" a living, I could go on but I think you get the picture, the problem is I like many others resent paying for the cost of failed social engineering and liberal do gooders Christ imagine H Haperperson if she'd won control of the labour party!!!!

And invented quangoes, and expanded incapacity/disability etc etc benefits to disguise the mass unemployment they created. And privatised the railways, which sounds quite tory until you realise we subsidise them more than when they belonged to us because they're f*cked.
Interestingly, the last labour government pseudo-privatised and de-centralised large tracts of the NHS, which sounds quite right wing, only its more expensive to run like that. I could go on. I wish socialism was to blame, then I could at least believe in something we'd tried.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
