Yeah, Taylor is pretty poor.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

All he really has to do is hold onto his place until Taylor replaces Petrov, any criticisms of Steinsson will then be totally drowned out by the whining over how Taylor is the worst player to ever lace boots.
Truer than true
And of course there is the point where Elmander goes through a lean spell!

Personally, I'd keep Lee in the team and Petrov as they will both put pressure on the Pool fullbacks. Carragher playing wing back last season embarrassed us down our left when he was allowed to run unchallenged past our midfield (Taylor) time after time.

I guarantee that as Pool have been regularly mooted as one of the clubs tracking CYL, that he's had a call from his agent this week promising him untold riches come January if he pulls his finger out this weekend. With a Liverpool shirt on, his market value will go through the ceiling. Let's hope that's motivation enough.

If he has a blinder for us then great, but from what OC has indicated and I'm inclined to believe him that he's not in the business of selling players to balance the books. It wouldn't be in Gartside's interests to sell him in January as it would invariably turn the fans against him. He won't want that with the new FA job that he's got. The again I could be wrong, I'm wrong almost 80% of the time when it comes to football.

Robbie Williams predicts we'll win 2-1-... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 128942.stm

Not that it's particularly interesting or important, but it's nicer to have an optimistic outlook as opposed to Lawro's (who goes for 1-2).

I've gone for a 2-2 draw as I can't see us keeping them out (we don't seem to keep anyone out anymore) and I can't see us scoring more than two.

Player for player they are equal to or better than us, so we need to keep the team work and pressue up to get anything from this game. They will be confident after a very good display last time out and if we sit back and let them come at us we will lose the game easily, so we have to get at them.

However, they may be feeling very confident as we haven't got a very good recent record against them, so they may rest one or two players for next week's European game! But I think not as they need to beat us to get a run going and get themselves out of the bottom three.

All in all if this game can't get a full house at the Reebok I'm not sure what can.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Where they are in the league right now they won't be resting anybody. We're a must-win game for them. With Kuyt out we need to keep Cole and Torres quiet and let Muamba do a policing job on Gerard. It's not about how they play, more how we do. Play well and we can do it , hopefully by more than an odd goal. Won't be the end of the world if we get a point. I'll be watching with my Scouse neighbour so that should do a lot for neighbourly relations.

For some reason I'm overcome with bish-style dread on this one.

I think we're due to beat these lot, even if they score first they're mentally fragile and not good enough at defending to sit on the lead.

He appreciates the sentiment - but thebish doesn't stutter (stammer? I can't remember which is which...) so badly over his gloomy proclamations!
