Well, this was surprise! Whatever happened on the Johnny Evans, R Van Persie, CRon, Bramble ones? Were they all slags looking for a payday?

That is of course not to say this one is, but hopefully so, otherwise Ivan is in trouble. Sunday's opponents should buy him and make him captain, then he'd be fine.

He should carry on playing though, if he wants to. Innocent until proven guilty.

As for the police thing, they didn't name him. People see people in court, read names, information leaks. If police ever do confirm names I imagine it is to prevent damaging speculation for others. It is of course wrong, but that's the world we live in ;).

Does that apply to everyone, or do you just not fancy a bit of jimmy?

I know it's factually correct, but it makes it sound even worse when you see headlines like "Klasnic arrested on suspicion of raping Teenage girl" or "On suspicion of raping a Teenager"

Yeah, our fans would never heckle an opposition player based on myth, supposition and unfounded allegation now would we?
Don't remember any such incidents personally (off the top of my head)

But that's the point.. He'd get that crap, whether he's innocent or guilty... Let him loose

Besides, what's a 17 year old girl doing in a city centre apartment at 5 in the morning??

I think the parents of said 17 year old will be horrified to find their little precious has been out and about clubbing it then alledgedly doing one back to a males appartment.

I do wish this booze and clubbing culture with players didn't exist, I know they are young but to succeed you have to make sacrifices Booze or a lifetime of good living I KNOW WHICH i'D HAVE I'd dump Stella

according to the BEN...
IVAN Klasnic will be considered for tomorrow’s game against Liverpool, if he can prove he has shaken off a hamstring injury.

Owen Coyle will consider the Croatia international for a place in the squad to face the Reds despite being arrested and questioned at the start of the week over the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl at his home in Manchester City Centre.

Klasnic has been bailed until Monday, pending further enquiries, but had been due back after serving a one-match suspension after his red card against Stoke City a fortnight ago.

The 30-year-old picked up a hamstring problem in training but could be passed fit to take his place on the bench against the Reds.

Right, so what evidence will they have on 1st of Feb next year that they don't have already?

It's disgraceful that someone can have something like this hanging over them for so long.

I'm all for innocent until proven guilty, but the odds of some tart trying to get famous by making up a story about a super sub for a lower-mid-table team are probably pretty low. The article below seems to hint he's saying it's a case of mistaken identity.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-storie ... -22666524/

Regardless of what happened, Klasnic has a wife (who he owes his current job to, BTW) and a three year old and ONE F***ING KIDNEY. The only thing he should be doing at night is changing diapers and sleeping. The stories about him going out on the town with Holden have made me lose a lot of respect for him.

Didn't we also have a certain left back in the spotlight not so long ago? What happened to that story?

He got a 'not guilty' on the left back accusation but I believe that the other matter is ongoing.
