Reserve team boss John Henry has a number of strong players from which to chose from, as his side take on Manchester United in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North at the County Ground this evening.

Ex-Real Madrid duo Marcos Alonso and Rodrigo both look set to feature in the starting XI.

Rodrigo, currently on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese giants Benfica, looked particularly lively in his solitary start for the club against Burnley in the League Cup and has recently made two cameo appearances from the bench against both Wigan and Liverpool.

The likes of Tamir Cohen and Robbie Blake could also feature against Manchester United's reserve side, who are currently under the guidance of club hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The game will take place at the County Ground (postcode PR25 2LF) and kick-off at 7.00pm. Admission is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions, with entrance to season ticket holders free.

Lost 3 - 1,
Report from BN:

A strong Wanderers reserve team went down 3-1 to Manchester United in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North at Leyland on Tuesday night.

Adam Blakeman gave Wanderers the lead just after the half hour mark after Marcos Alonso had hit the outside of the post.

Wanderers’ pressure told when Tamir Cohen’s through ball found Blakeman who curled in a right-footed shot from the edge of the box for his fourth goal in six games.

Cameron Stewart levelled for United, who won the game with two second-half goals from Stewart and Tom Thorpe.

Wanderers: Adam Bogdan, Mark Connolly, Marcos Alonso, Rhys Bennett, Sam Ricketts (Tom Eckersley, 13mins), Tamir Cohen, Rodrigo, Mark Davies, Robbie Blake, (Sam Sheridan, 71mins), Ivan Klasnic (Tom Eaves, 71 mins), Adam Blakeman. Subs not used: Jay Lynch, Maison McGeechan.

Ricketts taken off after 13 mins, presumably injured, hope it wasn't serious.
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

From what I've been told.

Alonso was gash, Connelly was gash. Klasnic was sharp and withdrawn as he'll be playing some part on Saturday. Mark Davies was the standout player on the pitch

Yep same, Connolly was played at right-back though, and as a natural centre-back can be forgiven a little.

I'd consider playing Mark D at weekend, seeing as Spurs are hardly the most physical team around, so long as he gets a hair-cut first.

Has either Rodrigo or Eaves managed a goal yet?

Eaves has one, It was only Rodrigo's second reserve game.
