Hmmm... with Wiggin drooling over Al Habsi - it seems we have a little persuading to do with that young Wotsit too...
Bolton Wanderers are ready to deal in Adam Bogdan.

The Mirror says Bolton boss Owen Coyle wants to tie down young Hungarian keeper Bogdan with a new contract.
The giant prospect – dubbed Wotsit because of his bright red hair – can leave Wanderers at the end of the season if he does not agree new terms.
Coyle wants to keep Bogdan, who starred in a brief run in the side, and hopes he takes on the challenge of eventually replacing Jussi Jaaskelainen.
However Championship sides are queuing up for Bogdan who may fancy a quicker route to first-team football next season.

According to Nixon, Fenerbahce and Spartak Moscow are going to bid 3M for Elmander.

Its important to tie this guy down, he has already demonstrated that he is the future and is young enough to see us OK in goal for many years. I was all for keeping Ali but after seeing Wotsit play in the Premiership I'm more than happy with him so give him a big payrise and long contract and sell Ali to make up the difference.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Am I overvaluing our Swede or does that sound like way too little? If Johan really wanted to leave then surely he would do the right thing by signing a new contract with us so that we can at least get a proper transfer fee.

I think you're overvaluing him. Big time. He only has a short time left on his contract, but the club will need to weigh up whether they want the cash now to spend on a replacement, or whether they'd chance keeping him and persuading him to sign a new deal further down the line.

I'd not rush into re-signing him, he's only done his job for about 20 games in the last 80 odd.

We'd get one shit-hot replacement striker for £3m, wouldn't we? Sounds like a real 30 goal-a-season man that.

We've no choice but to re-sign him as we can't afford to replace him. We know it, he knows it and most importantly his agent knows it. And this Fenerbahce nonsense is the start of him negotiating a nice pay rise for Elmander.

It'd be a disaster to lose Elmander just after he's formed a partnership with Super Kev. First time in probably 10 years that we have two strikers playing up front together that look good together and a threat.

Replacing him would be very very difficult.

If we're having to trim the wage bill then surely we should sell Habsi and try and get rid desperately of the likes of Samuel, and possibly even see if we could loan Klasnic out to mainland europe somewhere?

One which he doesn't deserve. It's a shame that things have come to this, but I remember at the time thinking it was odd that we only gave him a three year deal - felt short.

If Nixon wrote it, he's probably on his way out. So don't lose too much sleep. Either that or Coyle wants to put a bit of pressure on to up the offer. And theres no way that Fenerbache are offering him more money than us.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Turkish clubs offer fortunes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fener offered twice what we offered.

I think Elmander and Turkey are a good fit

Well, given the manner by which he celebrated his goal at Wigan, he didn't strike me as being a man that's looking to go anywhere just yet.
May the bridges I burn light your way

He was superb at weekend, and I hope he will stay because a) he looks like he is finally enjoying himself, and b) he owes us

Before the season I could easily see Elmander wanting out. Right now I doubt it. I feel all the players sense something exciting happening at Bolton and want to be part of it.

Yes, but in the absence of Nolan etc. We still need someone to call shit and others that we "would give them a piggy back" should another club bid more than 10p.

We're just not very good at being supporters, if we have no-one who's shit and the focal point for some heckling.

Imagine paying all that money every week, and not having someone to boo!

It'd cut the attendance in half

I thought most people had settled on Matty as the new Nolan?
