Agree with others here. Burnden was a disgrace and the Reebok easily meets our needs, but I dont know what it is, I got a far better buzz going to Burnden than I ever have at the 'bok. Perhaps it needs another 10 years or so before I start to feel some sort of attachment to it.

maybe, also - getting older has summat to do with it... Burnden is (for you) emotionally attached to your youth in a way the Reebok never will be...
I think this is true - as is the fact that there is no standing at the Reebok, but that's something that will never change now.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

Isn't this an urban myth? Thought this had been disproved.

It has been disproved, I think there was about 3 miles in it. There's a stright road (albeit a long one) between Town and the Reebok.

Oh and for the person who said it, Horwich IS in Bolton, it's like saying Ordsall isn't Salford!

AA routeplanner says 4.9 miles to Bolton and 6 miles to Wigan.

Aye, but with Alcoholics Anomynous, you have to stay off the motorways!

Accoring to Google maps Bolton is 0.8 miles closer....I stand corrected.

Anyway, great stadium, just lacks atmosphere.
Troll and proud of it.
