So what's the score going to be then??? It will probably be a close nailbiter again and as we can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives I'm going for another 3-2 or even a 4-3 game which could go either way. If Carroll isn't fit then we should win but if he plays then who knows, it could be anybody's .

But getting off the fence I'll stick with my pre-season prediction of a win and go for 3-2 to us.

I thought it was at full-time.. The game where we were 2-0 up and drew 2-2(?). Megson wanted us to keep a high-line. Nolan told him to feck off after about 60 minutes and told the players to sit deep. They ignored the gaffer and conceded twice. Barmy ensued

He might not have been sold SOLELY as a result of it, but it certainly made the decision a lot easier.

I work with a Geordie piss heed and he reckons Nolan has proven himself to the toon faithful. This was of course said when he was steaming after the Sunderland game.

Nolan was quality for us except the 2 years where his game went down the pan. He is a Ledgend in my eyes, work hard for the club coming through the ranks, helped us in the promotion year and that goal at Old Trafford will forever stay in the memory!

I will be welcoming him back, although i wouldn't have him in our current team!

Spot on for me WW. Think Nolan lost interest in the last 18 months with us and was only making up numbers as his heart clearly wasn't in it. He looked slow, overweight and never really had a good 90 minutes for us after being made Captain as far as I'm concerned.

However, just for his passion after the match at Marseille, the way it clearly gutted him as much as it had everyone stood watching that night, he'll be getting polite applause from me before I urge Muamba to level him in the first ten minutes.
