Signed Wanderer's strip?

Post by Odelay » Sun Nov 14, 2010 9:55 pm

Hey guys,

I've been a super whites fan for 11 years now. I started following them in 1999 when I discovered my great grandfather was a fan when he lived in Bolton. Ever since I've been a die hard supporter. I've been living in Manchester for this year and I've made it my duty to go to every home fixture plus any away games that I can squeeze in. (Certainly beats grainy internet streams for which I've had to make do with for 10 years.) My trip here seems to have been perfect timing, because so far this season has been amazing (touch wood it continues.) I'm actually leaving to go back home to Melbourne in February, so I'd love to take a little memento back with me. I was wondering if there would be anyway I could get a few signatures on a whites shirt before I leave? Would love to get one framed. Can you get them at the training pitch or something like that? Is someone on here in the know?

It would be brilliant if I could walk away with something other than replica kit and some smashing memories.

Cheers

if you hang around outside the main entrance about an hour after a home game you be able to collar the players as they leave!

my missus got mine done as her mates husband ran a restaurant with Mark Halsey who trained with the wanderers squad at the time, then got it framed here http://www.framingshop.co.uk/ in heywood.

im sure if you have time the training ground would be easy enough?

That looks fantastic! That's by far our best kit in the last 10 years too. I might just have to bite the bullet and hang around after a game. Where do we train?

How did the Framing Shop get the Elbow album cover on there, towards the top?

You had a grainy internet stream 10 years ago? Wow. It's 2010 and some of us STILL can't get a grainy internet stream.

It's certainly improved from the days where PPlive, TVants and Sopcast were necessities, put it that way!

Awesome - my missus did the same for me but with the maroon away one. Really happy with it - I then bought that same shirt as above from ebay for 99p signed and with a certificate of authenticity (yeah yeah) - how much did the framing shop charge?

You'd not get it framed here, obviously, but the framing is about 60/80 quid from memory

The top man is Tony Cornwell

Recently did KDs England shirt

£65 for a shirt to be framed

£85 for a shirt to be framed in the same fashion as the Davo one.

Speaking of signed stuff, Ivan Campo was supposed to be coming to my work today I was going to hound him to sign a book of mine and wish him good luck for the future, tell him he's missed at Bolton and generally kiss his arse - but he's not coming now. Gutted!

yeah gave £75 bats for mine, with the plaque.

The plaque says Bolton Wanderers European Tour 2007/2008, and underneath in smaller fonts it says 'To me, happy b-day, from her' which i thought would be nice for the grandkids when were dead and buried!
