Oh don't tempt me, but I will pass on this one.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

He went because the club's finances couldn't keep pace with his ambitions.

Still the best manager we've had in my lifetime.

Gartside isn't the one with the money.

Unfortunately, the UEFA cup doesn't bring a lot of revenue. It's more prestigious than financial

I'll give it a go...

- The Reebok has a lot of empty seats because the people of Bolton have grown bored of Premier League football and/or deem it not worthy of the cost. The club were hoping that lowering prices and playing a more attractive style of play would bring some fans back, but it doesn't look to be happening.

- Sam Allardyce left because he felt he'd taken us as far as we could go. He wanted more money to spend, we just didn't have it. It would've been gambling the future of the club in the hope we'd reach the Champions League. He believed Newcastle, a club with bigger attendances, would be more suited to his ambitions.

- Phil Gartside doesn't provide the money, Eddie Davies (the owner does). Given the massive amounts he's already put into the club, it would be unreasonable to expect him to plough more in.

- The Uefa Cup is nice to play in, but makes you little to no money, especially when nobody turns up for the home games.

Some of us are fantastically wealthy, but we choose not to invest in football.

No, because you might spend it on football, and that's not how my philanthropy works.
