Wanderers v Geordies
No match thread yet - so here's the start.
We have a genuine chance in this game and the next to get some home points, consolidate a top half position, build home crowds, prove that our progress is not illusory.
This is going to be a tough one - Newcastle have had some excellent away results and are going to give us a hard game.
we won't keep a clean sheet.
we will score...
So - 0-0 almost a certainty now...

Elmo (3) Davies (4) Moobs (1) Holden (1) Klasnic (2) and for the Toon Nolan (6) and Carroll (6)
then Hell will freeze over.
Hahahaha. It's a regular bet I have. Lost a bit of money over it.jmjhb wrote:One of these days, Moo will belt in a 35-yard screamer...TKIZ! wrote:35 yrd screamer too.Worthy4England wrote:It was a good story apart from the bit highlighted - un-fcuking-believable!TKIZ! wrote:On the reverse of that I'm going 11-12 Toon

Law of averages says one will go in eventually, right? Other than Okocha (who's accuracy was similar 90% of the time) I can't think of a midfielder who manages to end up with the chance to shoot from range so often.
Anyway I thought we'd lose to Everton and Wolves, so ignore me, but I've a sneaking suspicion that we're about to drop points.
Nolan 1-0.

Yeah this run won't last
And Toon are a very good side, much better than I first thought, and especially better without that plank they paid forest a few million (their only money signing this summer?) for? Perch?
Be interesting if it is 2 sets of 442, could be another high scorer
Think Nolan will score.....errrm maybe 1-1 with both Kevins scoring
attendance of 22,650
2,473 pies sold, 32% of which are meat and tata
Match reports to be on average 78% shorter than those of Arsenal
the longest queue off the middlebrook car park to be 112 cars long and take 56 mins to negotiate
number 6 last bus to leave the car park

Yes there was (Nolan's return to the Reebok), well that is what it was meant to be, but who's counting?William the White wrote:No match thread yet - so here's the start.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

I thought that thread was to discuss Nolan's return to the Reebok, rather than the game as a whole?FaninOz wrote:Yes there was (Nolan's return to the Reebok), well that is what it was meant to be, but who's counting?William the White wrote:No match thread yet - so here's the start.
That's the impression I got from the title.
Just saying is all.

Barton is banned isn't he? I think the toon may struggle a bit without him. He's been a real driving force for them this season, and is twice the player he used to be. Without Barton, and if Caroll is out injured, I think they will lose a lot of what's made them good this year. I see another home win. No clean sheet tho, could be another 3-2.

Well, first of all, yes I can .... & recall the rozzers taking down a "Lee Is God" banner from the back of the Embankment on the basis that it was blasphemous !!Worthy4England wrote:Yes - there's not many who can remember Franny Lee playing - owd bugger.bobo the clown wrote:b-hell. ... but actually I meant Stuart Lee.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
