is the remake decent then? - Kermode didnt think so.

is there any point in watching it if you have seen the original?

he said the original is a poignant film about childhood that happens to have vampires in it, but the remake is a film about Vampires that happens to have kids in it.

he said its ok, but that theres no point in watching it if you had seen the original beacuse its just better in every way?

but he did enjoy basic instinct 2...

Loved this weeks episode again. It's definitely a grower and it;s getting stronger. Coogan's insecurities that were visible in the first episode are becoming more obvious, and that came to a head tonight when Brydon was recognised in the shop. Very clever series.

Watched Jimmy McGovern's Accused first ep.

Certainly will stay with it. Few writers do tough northern urban with as much conviction as McGovern. Fewer still mix a good dollop of sentiment in with it.

Watched Garrow's on iPlayer instead and hoped to get a nod either way on Accused on here. Worth a watch tomorrow then?
