So you're some Millionair, who's coming onto an internet message board, shouting about transfer targets? If these 'people' are so willing to back Coyle, why would they need him to offload Elmander to sign somebody?BoltonScott wrote:My consortium will back Owen Coyle. We have deep pockets and will reward him with a large transfer budget.
You know what.. I can't even believe I'm entertaining this thread!

Let's save this one for posterity, then get it framed alongside Kevin Davies' England shirt.BoltonScott wrote:Just received the following text message from my source at the club - Deal done for January £10m + add ons. Great deal for the club. Coyle has pulled off a masterstroke. Gartside did feck all as usual but will probably claim the credit.
BTW Honda isn't even that good. The Korean football board that I frequent (and we have a deeply rooted hate for the Japanese) is familiar with their national team and we wouldn't even consider him their best player.

Looks like he could be Holden's long-lost Japanese brother.

It's January, we're in debt, we need to cut our wage bill and will probably be selling - not really ideal time to spunk out even once we've banked the £150m Sir Nut wangled out of Sheik Mansoor for Jlloyd.

where to even begin???
1. why would a deal be "done" in November?
2. We would not sign a player for £10mill plus "add-ons" without Gartside being involved (unless Coyle used his own money?)
3. Since when did we have £10million plus add-ons to spend?
4. Why would anyone be texting that to you?

I thought he was a prince? No wonder he hasn't been getting back to me ever since I sent that money order...Lord Kangana wrote:Damn those cold-calling texts.
Does the sender have a Nigerian Uncle by any chance, who needs a few quid to help facilitate the deal?

He certainly is good, but 10m +add-ons good? And to replace Elmander? I'm not sure.East Lower wrote:

Oh and by no means do I not rate Honda. I just don't think that he would be a good replacement for Elmander, especially not at the price he would command in relation to what we would get for Elmander.
