Bring me down a peg or two...please
Ok I have been going to BWFC for over 30 years, I know that the first thing you realise when you realise you have BWFC in your blood is that you don't get carried away, you don't expect things to be rosy, you expect dissappointments, relegation, poor players, good players leaving, good managers leaving, fans moaning, etc. etc.
However, right now at this current moment, I am struggling to see the next dissappointment. We suddenly seem to have:
A great manager
A great first team
A great chairman
Some great reserves (compare our recent bench to Liverpool's when you get chance)
A generous owner who is offsetting our financial disadvantages
We apparently are going to keep our best players
We apparently are going to strengthen in January
We are fifth and right now look about the fifth best team in the country
Positive press
Positive fans
Can someone snap me out of it and point out the direction of the oncoming juggernaut please? I can't see it and don't want to be taken by surprise!

We win on Saturday and Coyle gets manager of the month, then Manager of the month syndrome kicks in and we'll soon be heading down the table

Indeed - even a draw might do it...David Lee's Hair wrote:We win on Saturday and Coyle gets manager of the month, then Manager of the month syndrome kicks in and we'll soon be heading down the table
We might need a good hiding to avoid being cursed for December...

Optimistically, MOM has been won by the same manager in two consecutive months 9 times.David Lee's Hair wrote:We win on Saturday and Coyle gets manager of the month, then Manager of the month syndrome kicks in and we'll soon be heading down the table
On the other hand, who was the last Wanderers mangager to win MOM (also in Nov)?

They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

we cant sell out at home, we have a poor away following, we have no songs, we are out of the league cup, we have an awful shirt sponsor, our badge has gay ribbons on it, the reebok is too far from Bolton, the ticket office is shite, the beers minging and the pies are too hot.

We don't have great reserves by any stretch of the imagination.

A loss at home to Blackpool should bring us all back down to earth, dooooooooooooooooooooomed it appears!
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

our players are either degenerate gamblers, serial adulterers or prolific rapists.

We will be swapping Holden and Elmander for Nolan and Guthrie in the new year to reduce our wage budget.
FaninOz will be made fans liason officer, CAPS will be put in charge of recruitment and immediately reinstate Gary Megson, and TheBish will be made club chaplain and make us all wash our hands and say grace before our pie'n'pints.

We're still paying Gary Megson.
Elmander hasn't signed a new contract.
