Wonder how many times we are going to be saying this, this season.thebish wrote:goal of the fecking season!
Can't really say Petrov's goal was shite either. Take a look at how in "the top corner" it is.

Didn't realize it was the moderator's job to agree with random personal abuse instead of banning the offender. Nice work, Tango.TANGODANCER wrote:Just for once can I do a 100% agreement.thebish wrote:ok - I need to say this - just once..

24 shots at goal, without playing to the fullest of our potential.
Keep it up.
Keep it up.

this is embarassing - inexplicably had one of "newboy"'s posts registered in my mind as one of yours!
in the spirit of newspaper apologies - it should be as big as the original error...
APOLOGIES to peds - he did nowt wrong and was foully and unfairly abused by an over-excited bishop
newboy can cock off though!

results went pretty much our way as well which always helps
Re: Wanderers v Blackpool
heart is still racing... love the fightback, but I think we lacked the killer instinct at the start when we were dominating. Nonetheless unbeaten still and at a good position.

Re: Wanderers v Blackpool
Neither of their goals were worthy of much of a mention: A speculative header and a cock up.
Ours, on the other hand...were just superb. The composure of our passes for the second was, as the comentator said, a brilliant team goal. Not bad for long-ball lads. Still fifth and three wins and two draws out of five. Blackpool played really well but our battling when down was terrific. No bad result at all. Davies a tad unlucky not to get a pen for the shove, United would have got that off Dean (although he had a resonable game). All in all, do for me. We came so near after being dead and buried. Well done Whites.

Re: Wanderers v Blackpool
Lucky draw in the end from one excellent strike and one beautifully created goal worthy of any team, including Real and Arsenal and anyone else you can mention. But Blackpool should have been out of sight by then as they missed a frew sitters today.
But when you look at the way we played for the last 20 mins why oh why did we play so poorly before then? Yes we were in control for the first 25 but we werent playing well even then. Also their two goals were very poor ones to give away for a defence which is so tall and so called strong to give away two glancing headers is very poor.
As I said earlier Mark Davies wasn't our worst player in the the first half by any means and finished up our best player, well worthy of that second goal. So on balance a well worked draw from a team that eventually woke up and pressed very hard after the first goal to save the game and scored an absolutely great creative second goal, with excellent ball control flicks and passes. But why oh why did we have to wait 85mins for it!!!
I'm sure that feels like a loss to Blackpool and a win for our guys. Very happy now

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED
Re: Wanderers v Blackpool
Although Rodrigo played a bit of risky football, i.e. crazy dribbling, I thought he was fantastic when he came on. Especially key in the start of the second goal.

Re: Wanderers v Blackpool
That would have been a really soft penalty. The Davies of a few years ago would have thrown himself at that, rather than looking for a foul. Not that it ultimately mattered.TANGODANCER wrote:Davies a tad unlucky not to get a pen for the shove, United would have got that off Dean (although he had a resonable game).

Thought I'd mention that I'm loving the potency of our bench. Sure we could use an extra mid, but to have klasnic and petrov to bring on is a luxury. Mavies who usually warms the pine should be a starter, Moreno looks promising, and Blake did the business against Brum.

Agreed. A defense splitting cross field pass that opened up the whole side of the field to create a wonderful goalHMX wrote:Although Rodrigo played a bit of risky football, i.e. crazy dribbling, I thought he was fantastic when he came on. Especially key in the start of the second goal.
