Mark Lawrenson - the sage master of understatement

Post by TKIZ! » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:28 pm

He's done a bit about us in his blog for the Sunday Mirror today that has all the depth of a rain puddle. It's good to kow that his insights get him paid handsomely. :D

For those who are interested he wrote:

Owen Coyle has not only got Bolton competing at the top of the league, he has also reinvented their footballing style.

Bolton are an attractive team to watch these days. A front two of Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander are a handful, but Coyle has also got his other players to express themselves. There is a subtlety about their play this season that wins admirers.

Couple that with an attitude to work their socks off and they can hover around the lofty heights.

Its great to read stuff like this for a change.

Got a pain in my B****x with people moaning about our long ball strategy adopted by SA.

Well ... you know what you're getting with Liverpool & Spurs.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

But will Bolton get the credit for teaching the Premiership the benefits of its occasional usage?

I think the concept of us being a reinvented team is beyond most people. One of my mates (tragically a united fan) was telling me how are 13 goals in 4 games is a result of our route one strategy

There were more long balls in that game, from both sides, than we have played all season.

But how the Pool lost I don't know Torres was clean through three times and each time failed to get a shot on target, in fact he didn't get a shot away at all.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

I think so Raven, I watched it because there was nothing else on and hoped that the Scousebots could have done us a favour. Apparently not, but if they want to swap Elmo for Torres I wouldn't complain  :D
