Man City Away Question

Post by King Lear » Mon Nov 29, 2010 3:04 pm

Hi, not been to an away match before, how does the ticketing work - can you choose your seat or do you just get what your given? Do fans sit anywhere? Any advice much appreciated.

You have been to a home game though, right? Away fans have their own section. Usually behind the goals at one end.

on your way into the ground they hold out a velvet bag with numbered balls in it, you stick your hand in a pick one out - thats your seat number. Otherwise you could take a deckchair or a bean bag maybe? i put up a hammock once at maine road.

Yeah and immediately doubled Man City's asset value of the ground.

Last time I did that at City they ripped me off. I ended up with a seat at Gigg Lane to watch their reserves. So beware.

Is it possible that King Lear is asking a real question?

Just in case - buy your ticket from the Bolton ticket office.

Keep it to yourself, don't offer to divide it between your three daughters, that will lead to trouble...

It has your seat row and number on it and the entrance you should use.

Use that entrance. Go to that row. sit on that seat.

It's usually that easy.

Good luck, hope it goes well, let us know. Enjoy.

For every Prem game I have been to, you are given an allocated seat. This seat is the on eyou are supposed to sit on, but the nature of away games means this isn't always the case. There is normally a much greater feeling of camaraderie at those games, so if your seat is taken, you will find somewhere to sit, and someone to talk to, unless you are next to a scally. This cannot be helped. As for choosing where you sit, online it is get what you are given, but if you book in person they will normally try to get you as close as possible to what you want. I'd hurry though, we are already on our extra allocation, hence the price jump, so be careful not to miss out.
