Wha'd'ya reckon?
I reckon you can trust someone without always having to think they're right

Re: January transfer window...
Partly yes, but his current form is a flash in the pan compared with his previous two years in the Premiership and I don't see any of the top teams being willing to spend 5mil on a player based on his last 15 games. He is just as likely to to go back in into his previous form after a move as continue in his current one, particularly away from the Coyle motivation and current Bolton fan adulation. Hence he's a big risk and 5mil would be silly money for him.CAPSLOCK wrote:Is that because he's out of contract in 6 months?FaninOz wrote:5mil is silly money for Elmander in my view
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Did he say this was the appropriate thread? Could it be Holden is fit to play or something like that?David Lee's Hair wrote:Just been informed by someone who twitters that supposedly that Iles fella from the Evening News is babbling on about some good news about to break from t'Reebok, but its not Johan signing a new contract...

Re: January transfer window...
With 18 months on his contract, he'd be a 10 million playerFaninOz wrote:Partly yes, but his current form is a flash in the pan compared with his previous two years in the Premiership and I don't see any of the top teams being willing to spend 5mil on a player based on his last 15 games. I think you underestimate the value of a goalscorer and the gambles teams will take
Elmander obviously has 'it'
He's had it since he arrived
The likes of Redknapp/Bruce back themselves to get the best from players so won't be worried about what might be....just what is

They may well rate Bogdan higher as a long term replacement, my only concern is how he'd cope if we lost Jussi and Bogdan had to play a long spell at this early stage in his career.BWFC_Insane wrote:Bogdan is rated far higher than Habsi by Boltons staff. Personally I'd sell Habsi if we get anywhere near a decent sort of offer.
And for what its worth, Nixon has this to say about what we're looking to buy.

Darren Pratley, I'm sure Megson was sniffing around him briefly at one point. Sort of player I could see doing well here and will give us an answer to the question of, what happens when Muamba is out? Swansea are buggers to deal with though, so no doubt they'll price us out.

Didn't that happen with Jussi when he was deputising for Banks/Branagan? Correct me if I'm wrong...Ianmooreslovechild wrote:They may well rate Bogdan higher as a long term replacement, my only concern is how he'd cope if we lost Jussi and Bogdan had to play a long spell at this early stage in his career.BWFC_Insane wrote:Bogdan is rated far higher than Habsi by Boltons staff. Re: January transfer window...
He's 23, same age as England's #1 Joe Hart. I know goalkeepers can play into their late 30's and there's a perception that they get better with age, but at 23 I'd think he should have the mental toughness and the physical fitness to play a decent stretch of games.Ianmooreslovechild wrote:They may well rate Bogdan higher as a long term replacement, my only concern is how he'd cope if we lost Jussi and Bogdan had to play a long spell at this early stage in his career.
Re: January transfer window...
Jussi was shite at that age
Joe Hart has played well over 100 first team games in England

I've always thought he's a decent player but not exactly been following his career that closely. He's only 30, not that old. OC could do some work there.H. Pedersen wrote:Redknapp says Robbie Keane is likely to leave in January:

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
