Cheers and best of luck to yourself ct32 (after tomorrow of course)ct32 wrote: City fan here in peace, I've been really impressed by bolton this season coyle has certainly got you guys playing some lovely stuff.
Tommorow is a big game for us and I expect a really good game , hopefully 3 points for the blues but I wish bolton all the very best of luck for the rest of the season.

As rivals for that Chumps League spot, we can't wish you all THAT much luck - but you're certainly welcome on here to analyse and then (to invent a new verb!) postmatchbanterise the game...

I really hope bolton can continue to push on for a european spot, it's such an open league this season.thebish wrote:TANGODANCER wrote:Cheers and best of luck to yourself ct32 (after tomorrow of course)ct32 wrote: City fan here in peace, I've been really impressed by bolton this season coyle has certainly got you guys playing some lovely stuff.

I however can't see past tottenham for the last chumpions league spot, I know you guys beat them recently but "triffic" Harry has got them playing well.
Good luck after tommorow anyway and thaks for the nice welcome

That's a really interesting one as I remember we had one of the lowest percentages in the league in this a couple of seasons back.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote:Interesting (or maybe not) facts from 'tGrauniad:
• City have failed to score in their last three home matches
• 50% of the goals Bolton have conceded have come from set pieces, the highest proportion in the top flight
• City are the only team yet to score a headed goal in the Premier League this season
• Matt Taylor has fired the most shots on goal in the top flight this season (26) without scoring
Wonder how many of those won't be true tomorrow 5 P.M.
We really need to get a grip on those set pieces.
Matt T needs to get a grip on the goal-posts.
My how the times have changed!

I said to my City mate at work that 0-0 would be a great result for us in a way, not having kept a clean sheet for a bit.RobbieSavagesLeg wrote:Interesting (or maybe not) facts from 'tGrauniad:

The number of goals conceded from set plays is a worry, it's something we never used to do. And we're conceding them with all 11 men in the box
Taylor's shots on target tend to be passed to the keeper, no massive drama

So this match isn't in danger of being called off or anything, right?

Re: money bags v the trotters
The only Premier game called off is at Blackpool, that's because of a frozen pitch, presumably because they don't have under-soil heating. It sounds like Manchester is ok and Saturday should be over 0 degrees.SonsOfThunder wrote:So this match isn't in danger of being called off or anything, right?
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: money bags v the trotters
So it looks like this game is being billed as a chance to prove Bolton belong in the upper echelon of the league.

Balloteli and Boateng had a bit of a scrap yesterday. Looks like the pressure is getting to them.
Get the feeling Holden is going to make a surprise start today.

I've got a good feeling about this.
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.
