Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
Was the last time we beat this lot at the Reebok when Wilcox got sent off?
Anyway i reckon we're well overdue here and we'll do it. Holden to rule the game pace to beat power, skill to overcome brute force, good to overcome evil, etc etc
9-0 Zat Knight Hat Trick, every Davies under the sun and a couple of late 'uns from Klasnic
Allardyce's heart to peak at 5000 bpm
Mike Riley to send off Robbie Savage from his 5 live position after he nuts someone for serving him a warm beer and a cold pie

Thought he had a fitness test prior to the Citeh game - I'd be surprised if he wasn't fit a week later. Unless he aggravated it

I'm feeling optimistic that the manager of the Month curse wont continue, after losing 1-0 at City, and we will get a 2-2 draw against Sam's chickens.malcd1 wrote:If we don't match Blackburn in midfield we will lose this one. Against Citey we should have changed to 4-5-1 and I think we should do the same against the banjo players.
Knowing that Owen likes to play his 4-4-2 I feel we will struggle to get a draw.
My prediction 1-1 (At best).

Mr Optimist.

I'd love us to smash 5 in against this lot. Need to move on after a pretty abject performance against City and play a bit more football, we are a much better footballing side than Blackburn but they still have a few decent players for us to be aware of. Think we'll win though. 3 - 1 Whites.

I'm sick of my sandgroper dingle mate giving me stick over this fixture. C'mon Whites, do it for Horza!

Thing is, you know what you're gonna get when you play Blackburn.........
Anyway I don't think Sam will be able to do anything against this new look Bolton team. Blackburn don't do well away against the good footballing sides. After an attritional first half we'll beat them 3-1.
Come on you Whites.

Can't say I'm overly optimistic about this game. Blackburn have some sort of curse over us, bit like we do against West Ham.
Every season you think "surely they can't beat us at the Bok again?" and they go and bloody well do!
I wonder if at the very least we can get this going to the tune of "we're gonna win the league"....
He'll sue the BBC
He'll sue the BBC
and now you're gonna believe him and now you're gonna believe him and now you're gonna belieeeeeeeeve him
He'll sue the BBC...........
Well I can but dream

Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
I think this is the first time we've played them having moved on from the Allardyce era.
Sammy Lee was his sidekick, Megson played to our strengths" based on the Allardyce years, but Coyle has changed us.
In previous meetings, I think Allardyce would have known exactly how to line up to stop us. This year it's different. I am confident we'll get at least a point.
Formerly known as Meg'sEleven. And Owen'sEleven. And Dougie'sEleven. We're getting through them aren't we...

As much as I think he's a total cock, surely Allardyce's teams were built to play one such as ours. Flood the midfield bottle things up, frustrate, compete physically and score goals from dangerous set pieces?Owen'sEleven wrote:I think this is the first time we've played them having moved on from the Allardyce era.

I'd say if ever there was a team set up to counter what Coyle does, it would be an Allardyce team!

Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
That's kind of how I look at it. The promising thing though is that Blackburn have been pretty woeful away from home this season, and conceding quite a few goals to boot.BWFC_Insane wrote:As much as I think he's a total cock, surely Allardyce's teams were built to play one such as ours. They'll love us for playing our 4-4-2. They'll strangle the life out of the game and score a 'minger'
It's a minger if an Allaradyce team score a set-piece, otherwise it's "a fantastic delivery, met beautifully with a risning header, bundled sublimely over the line with the forward intentionally using his left buttock to magnificent effect"
I'm looking at you Spurs / Arsenal

I will always respect Allardyce, and think BWFC Insane's opinion is wrong and ungrateful. I shall applaud him before and after the match, because he deserves it.
