How does it work with the 25 man squad? For instance, if Andy O'B goes to Leeds permanently, does that free up a squad place? Or would we have to 'promote' from within?

I've heard conflicting reports. I think nothing can be changed until January at which time players can be added or dropped. Would have to be otherwise it would really effect the January transfer window.

Clubs have to give their 25 man squad to the FA by midnight the day after the summer transfer window closes and again midnight the day after the winter window closes. They enter them via a website (presumably to prevent 'appy 'arry from claiming there was a problem with his fax machine and getting another day out of it). Interestingly, whilst the window is open i.e in August and January they can play whoever they like; there is no 25 man limit.
