Where to sit?
Hello! Was wondering if you lot could give me some advice where to sit? My brother in law and I are being good boys and have agreed to spend Christmas with the in laws. As a trade we're off to the football, for heaven's sake, where else would a bloke be on Boxing Day? We don't want to sit with the Baggies but in with your lot. Where in the ground has good atmosphere and quick access to pie? We shouldn't be "socially difficult" for Trotters (I'm a Bournemouth fan and he follows a team from Belfast) but we'd quite like some noise, a bit of a laugh and a bit of passion. Thanks for any help!

East Stand Lower. Don't sit in the corner under the scoreboard unless you're a) under 18 b) illiterate c) up for fighting but running away when it comes down to it.
Don't sit in the West Stand unless you like to be shushed when whispering to your mate.
Don't sit in the North Stand unless you're a bell-end.

Did Bolton and Bournemouth go halves on a container load of teeny-gimps? We've got loads of them...

You'd probably find a better atmosphere if you were at home with the in-laws and you'd just cheated on your wife.thommo wrote:Hello! Was wondering if you lot could give me some advice where to sit? That said, it was pretty good against Blackpool, and I'm sure there will be a decent game on. East Stand Lower towards the half-way line probably would be your best bet. Or the away end.
Re: Where to sit?
East stand lower middle to opposite end of the score board has a decent atmosphere.
Pfffft.
Re: Where to sit?
North Stand Upper is banging. Family friendly, witty chants, and a wonderful drum accompaniment.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

West stand upper towards the north stand.
The more refined spectators area.

Having changed from East Lower to West Lower I'd like to recommend the latter. The people are very pleasant and the children polite. You may even be offered tea from a stranger's thermos if the day is cold - don't accept unless you're a fan of sugar.

I thought you'd been told about offering sugary things to children William?William the White wrote:Having changed from East Lower to West Lower I'd like to recommend the latter.
