West Ham are among the January suitors for Aston Villa striker John Carew, who they see as a replacement for Carlton Cole. The Hammers are willing to listen to offers for Cole.

He'll go to Liverpool if Elmander doesn't btw.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

He keeps being quoted as being available for £10m.Bruce Rioja wrote:West Ham are among the January suitors for Aston Villa striker John Carew, who they see as a replacement for Carlton Cole. The Hammers are willing to listen to offers for Cole.
It's as if saying it often enough will get it.
Or maybe the ghost of 'Arry still walks the Boleyn Ground.
That said, Ryan Shawcross is being touted as worth £20m in today's rags !!! Is it me ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Didn't read anywhere that any Club could swoop for Bobo the Clown for £20m in January.

Indeed so. He achieved new levels of shiteness on Sunday.Bruce Rioja wrote:West Ham are among the January suitors for Aston Villa striker John Carew, who they see as a replacement for Carlton Cole. The Hammers are willing to listen to offers for Cole.

The 4-0 League Cup Wet Spam Reserves win over Stretford Reserves was, despite it all, a good result.
However, to hear on Radio 5-Live commentry that they have produced a range of commemorative mugs seems a bit weird.

Bit of a strange name to give to their first team.

Seeing as we've beaten them so many times, do we get to keep them?

according to the Bee Bee Cee..
West Ham must win at least one of the relegation-threatened club's next three games or manager Avram Grant will be sacked, BBC Sport understands.
Time is running out for Grant, 55, who has one win in 11 Premier League matches, leaving the club three points adrift at the bottom of the table.
It is understood Sam Allardyce, sacked by Blackburn this week, is being considered as a replacement.
West Ham play Blackburn away on Saturday and Fulham away on Boxing Day.
A source said replacing the Israeli if he fails to meet the terms of the ultimatum would allow the club to make best use of the transfer window, giving the new manager "a chance to make the changes he wanted".

Just about to post the same thing.
I don't rate the bull-frog & dislike his bluster ... & maybe he deserves changing out ... but to give him an ultimatum of "win one of the next 3" is peculiar. To say "so the new manager" has time to make use of the transfer window ??? That clearly suggestd they have that man ("person", sorry Bish) is lined up already.
The money still sits on Allardyce by all accounts.
There would be a split camp that made ours 12m ago seem a happy place.
Bring it on !!
I'm off to read KUMB now.

Re: West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!
mind you, the BBC are still re-inventing history ...
Well the Blackburn one and our first season back ..... but "unparalleled track record". It's not like he managed Coventry between 1980-2000 !!
???????Survival specialist Allardyce has an unparalleled track record in digging clubs out of trouble. He took over Rovers when they were 19th in the table and kept them in the Premier League.

Allardyce would keep them up. So I hope they win one of their next three games, cos Grant will take them down if he stays.
And the BBC know less than that woman at Blackburn about football. Ian Nolan? Anthony Gardner? Ricky Hunt? They've all played for us, you know, for seasons and seasons.

As speculation that Allardyce is going to be appointed as Avram's successor increases the cheeky Cockney sparrers over at KUMB appear to be considering suicide, by and large. If you've forgotten why these muppets should go down in flames this season please consider the following (there's plenty more where it came from too)
West Ham would always be my team that could never change but i am not going to buy a season ticket to watch geezers the size of rugby players kick the ball as far as they can
I f***ing hate team's like Bolton & the last thing i want is for us to end up like them
Down you go then.
