I wanted to watch it, but adthe only do live, and I was working early today so wouldn't stay up or get up early for it. Sounds like a cracker, though. Even by Sky salesmen standards, they were gushing about it.

They're showing highlights on SSN on their loop - does look like it was belter!

Hope he was at the Crown & Anchor for game today too!

Yeah, it's well worth seeking out on Youtube or whenever Sky repeat it on Sky Sports 3 (Friday usually).

For both fighters to take that kind of punishment and Kahn be the one who stayed on his feet was really something.

From about 1.50 onwards, brutal stuff against undoubtedly the heaviest puncher in the world at that weight.

He won the next round by the way.

Damn!

He got one hell of a beating there, he must have done amazingly well to win after that.

So he no longer has a glass jaw, his training over the past few years must have just been him getting punched in the face!

Apparently it was shifting his weight from his shoulders and torso to his thighs.

And then stepping him up a weight, because he was struggling to maintain his weight.

From the clips that they've shown on SSN, this looks to be one of the greatest fights of all time. Still, if boxing wants to flog itself to pay per view then there's now way that it can ever attract too much interest from the barely casual observer such as I.

Was a brilliant fight, looked over in round 1 when Khan put Maidana down with a fantastic body shot... Maidana managed to get up but was saved by the bell with Khan unloading on him.

Can't believe the punishment that he took in the fight, so much credit must go to Alex Arzia (strength and conditioning coach) as without his conditioning there was no way he could have survived those last few rounds.

Fingers crossed now that he fights the Bradley/Alexander winner to unify the division before stepping up into Mayweather territory.

He's got the potential to be one of the top pound-for-pound boxers, looking forward to seeing him develop because he can still get much better!

Could one of you please explain this 'pound-for-pound' malarky? Does is just actually mean 'at-this-weight'? :conf:

Pounds of lard consumed pre-weigh in.

Boxing is split in various (19 I think) weight divisions, obviously it is unrealistic to expect Khan (5'10, 140 pounds) to fight David Haye (6'3 225 pounds) in a fair fight.

As a result 'pound-for-pound' is a mythical opinion of whom is the best fighter regardless of weight division. A link to one of the more reputable opinions is below.

I wear Oakley Flak Jackets that are polorized and about $210. I also have a pair of driving glasses that are Ray-Ban Aviators that cost about $180. Both pairs are jet black. I know that they're expensive, but there really is a difference between expensive and cheap glasses such as feel, durability, visual quality through the lens, etc.
