I would love to know what Coyle said to Petrov when he had a hissy fit about being taken off. I did see him use the F word so I got the general idea.
On another note, Sam really pissed me off with how much he celebrated. Dignified much?? Brilliant to see his face when Stu smashed that one in (a player he offered a contract to last year!)

: WTF is with everyones comments? We outplayed the 'New Bolton' and passed them apart, they had 2 good chances and scored them. Knight was immense in the second half and Robinson too. first part what game were you at ? second part total agreement. :oyea:

Again I have no problem with Big Sam celebrating the tying goal with the same zest that he celebrated goals when managing here. Blackburn is now his club and he should celebrate. On the other hand I have no problem with my celebrating Holden's game winner seconds later with even more zeal than Big Sams.

Aye, including that one that ended up on his foot on our goal-line.

Not till he's put up 6,000 posts.

It used to be 5,000 but, as I approached that mark noticed it's now 6,000.

Usual comment from someone who rarely bothers to go.

Petrov - great in attack, complete shite in defence - I'm almost with you LK in that he probably looked our best bet in a crap first half. But gives the ball away soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo often then never bothers his arse.
Ooooh, bitchy.

Have to say that was what I thought to at the time he took him off. He was actively ripping the left side up & was a real threat. Playing well & as he was hauled off I thought it was a wrong move.

No way of knowing of course whether it was or wasn't, but it's a fact that we went on to win & so Coyle wins the debate.

The difference with Coyle is that he makes the decisions & they seem to come off and they are generally attacking moves & so are positive in any case.

It was an interesting move - BUT - immediately Taylor was on I thought.. Hmmmmm - actually, Taylor - look how he's bringing a sense of calm experience - getting his foot on the ball - hasing and harrassing - running it into the corner.. just what we need for a tense finish...

Have to say at the time I was with LK, Petrov was giving us an outlet.

However, as W4E points out he doesn't exactly bust a gut to get back and help out and Taylor tightened us up.

I thought Elmander would have gone off as he looked knackered but he found a second wind and covered Ricketts brilliantly. He did better in the last 20 minutes than the rest of the game where he looked poor.

Re Sam's celebration. It was a bit OTT given it was only for a point at that stage. A point versus 10 men isn't an achievement. Had they scored a winner, I wouldn't have blamed him for streaking the directors box.

Re Petrov sub. It wasn't a "WTF are you doing" one for me. That's when you take Elmander off and put a right back on. As was noted, the defensive side to the game given Emerton had been moved to RB and Rovers effectively had 2 defenders on the pitch warranted some more sensible cover.

Re Petrov's goal - Holden's foot was high. Sorry, but end of.

SKD unfortunately had the type of performance with which you know you're gonna get nowt from the ref, and there was zero point lumping it up to him first half as Samba had the measure of him. Noticeable in the second more balls went to feet. He can have legendary status for his goal line clearance too! Immense.

i agree, i thought SKD couldn't get into the game, he got a nice early clump on Diouf and was absent til Holden's goal. That effort was a cracker, i think he's gonna be amazing for us (even more so). let's hope we can keep him!

Or he could just have a little class and grace and celebrate any goals against us with a quiet fist pump like he normally would and get on with it.

Hang on I've just written a sentence about Sam Allardyce with the words class and grace in it. Whatever was I thinking?

No, no, no, no, no! He initially went for the bicycle kick, but then pulled out, his foot never got as high as his own waist.. Poor decision based on assumption from Clattenburg, who only got the red card correct all game

did you not see the superb goal-line clearance before Holden's goal? or the assist for Moo's goal?

Dead on there, boris. Clattenberg got nearly everything wrong yesterday, I'll let him have the 2nd yellow, but I'll never agree that the Petrov one was 'high'. Was it absolute bollocks.

Yep totally true, I've watched it a few times since and he definitely pulls out and never gets his foot high at all. The commentators here in Oz also initially thought he had put his foot high but after the replay realised that he didn't and said that it was a harsh decision. But the ref only sees it once and unfortunately he also got it wrong!
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Also, it was pretty pathetic to see how frightened of Samba that our man Elmander was. Not good.
