He didn't. We got what the Market said he was worth.

He wasn't sold very cheap. In fact the way he was playing at the time we got a pretty good price. That is coming from the Bolton cause in Bangkok who doesn't have a difficult time getting information about BWFC :-)

Nolan was rubbish when we sold him. Lets not rewrite history. We got a very good deal on him at the time, and lets be clear about this, it wasn't with us that he got his form back by playing a season in the championship.

Easy 'cause Megson was a very very bad manager and it wasn't until book 2 that the three legged man caught up with and disposed of him.
Now we all live happy ever after.

Which, at that time, was probably 2million pround more than he was actually worth.

Plenty of people got on his case.

Couldn't pass - even though he had one fo the highest pass completion rates in our squad. Couldn't tackle - can't disagree. Stopped scoring - although we were playing a game that completely bypassed the midfield under Megson. Really shit in 2007/8 - his second poor season - second highest goalscorer for us after Anelka.

Whole team was shit, Nolan got singled out as being shitter.

Correct analysis... And I'm pleased to see his form return, and the reception he got at the Reebok.

We sold him because we thought we'd got Veloso and needed to raise some cash.

Think we've raised enough yet to go for him in January? :D

We sold him because he'd been poor for longer than anyone can remember, and was disruptive. I'm not saying that being disruptive towards the Strawberry Blonde was necessarily a bad thing.

We sold him because of various behind-the-scenes carryings on, including fist-fights and an attempted mutiny. That and the fact that he went shit

The fact that he was constantly shooting his mouth off even as he struggled to make any kind of impact tended to draw attention to his form.

Is a pround something like a baht? If it is, that would be about 220 million prounds.
