Think "name", "no more", "numb" .... or buy a new keyboard.
That's why you were jiggered rather than dunbfoumded I suppose.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The gaps between mine are full of fag ash (kids) and bits of tobacco, fluff, and other assorted bits. Sometimes I think I've pressed a key and when reading back what I've written, find I've missed letters out all over the place. I've demanded A: They no longer use it,(without success). B: They get me a new one at crimbo. (Again, probably without success)

E and A must be the most used keys because both disappeared from my keyboard ages ago.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Today I am angry about Simon Cowell's fooking monopoly on music. I don't mind the X-Factor, in so much as I don't watch it, and so, apart from annoying Facebook updates, I can easily avoid. Each to their own eh, but now every fecking song on the radio is one of his fecking 'projects'. I had one of those Monday morning nightmares today, winter blueness combined with being on the last minute, arrived into work all stressed, the radio came on, and I heard a few words of 'Many of Horror'. I thought to myself, "brilliant, that's actually just what I needed, a good bit of Biffy Cl....WHAT THE SHIT?!" Arrgh. Fecking covers everywhere. Someone needs to tell Ellie Goulding that when Bernie Taupin wrote and Elton John sang, 'you can tell everybody, this is your song', they didn't mean it literally. If shite like the sugarbabes can get people to write them 'original' songs why can't this shower of shite? Proper covers, where bands who have already developed their own sound give a new take on somebody elses song can be brilliant. Folk who haven't had time to even find their own sound doing it? What's happened, is that all the music? Have we ran out? Have all the words and sentences been done before? F*ck em.

They didn't. Nor is there anything remotely resembling some bastarding guitar (although in fairness you could say that about a lot of the newer Biffy stuff. I still love them, but it's not Blackened Sky). They've even, in the bit that has possibly wound me up the most in its cynical xmas number 1 chasing bastardry, changed the title from 'Many of Horror' to 'When We Collide'.

Bloody hell. I know there's a recession on and all that, but the X Factor Final was that gospel choir's only gig of the year every other year.Prufrock wrote:They didn't.

Speaking of the X-factor, there was a young woman on the radio tonight having a rant about whether her vote counted or not. And if not, why bother?
I had to fall back on my iron discipline to fight the urge to stop the car and take the crook-lock to the radio.
Its the X-factor. Nobody gives a flying fcuk about your vote. Thats because its not important.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Not being funny like but Ellie Goulding has been relatively successful this year with her own sound.Prufrock wrote:Today I am angry about Simon Cowell's fooking monopoly on music. She's not to my taste but then again I think she's aiming at a younger market. But I think probably she isn't the person this anger should be aimed at. Writes her own stuff, plays her own stuff and has a relatively successful if ultimately shite album out.
And I have to say as far as covers go I think its decent enough.

Co*khead producers who must go into the studio and say " you know what? We'll take a classic song, slow it right down, just voice and piano, it'll be great". No it fecking won't! Feck Off!!!
There was a cover of some BoysZone song (can't recall which) a few weeks ago which itself had been a cover (of course). It was sung & someone said "even better than the original by BoysZone". Another said "that wasn't the original" to which the two bimbo's both said "really ?? .... I didn't know that !"
& these are the judges, ffs.
The saddest thing is the hope they build up, the winners get about a years blanket coverage before they get dropped for the next lot. A handful have made it longer term, but not too many.
Still Gareth Gates got to slip Jordan one on the back of it. Not my idea of success but I bet it helped his stammer.
