Re: Rovers Spy....
Right, allow me to be the miserable misanthropist one again. This Spy business, I don’t get it.
I don’t get what the joke is, surely it would look the same if someone did it to this site? I don’t get why Bish would give so much time and effort into writing it. I dont get all the unanimous lavishing praise it gets. I don’t get how people have time & patience to read it. And I really don’t get why anyone gives a shit about the opinions of a set of saddo’s discussing the game over the internet, the local derby game with the cheap tickets btw. (Saddo’s being defined as a person who watches the match while tapping into their computer at the same time!)
Does anyone agree, or shall I just jump off the Clifton Suspension bridge now?

There may be a good number a deal closer which would be just as effective.
Just trying to save you time, effort & petrol.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

General - it probably would look the same if someone did it to our site. But they haven't, to my knowledge, and Bish does. Anmd, to me, he does it in a way that tickles and derides in equal measure.
And, because he only does it when we do well against teams that despise us, it's great reading the venom and delusional indignation they have towards us and, in particular, Davies.
I appreciate it might not be everyone's cup of tea. But it is mine.

Just trying to save you time, effort & petrol.plus it only round the corner from where im sat right now!
Then before (or as) you do call the press & TV so it's fully witnessed and have a plackard round you saying "This is the fault of the clergy" or something along those lines.

Hardly much style from the Clifton Suspension Bridge that's witnessed so many suicides over the years. Fook me, you'll be suggesting Beachy Head next or Aokigahara or the Golden Gate Bridge.bobo the clown wrote:Fair comment.General Mannerheim wrote:id wanna do it in style!plus it only round the corner from where im sat right now!

Would have to do better than that.

From the Pigeon Tower up Rivi ?
From the clock tower of Bolton town hall, landing right between the lions, top step, smack onto someone doing the full moon ?
We're only trying to help General.

I half recall General being one of the attendees on the Town Hall steps - I feel there's a beautiful plan coming together (no pun intended) here.bobo the clown wrote:Off one of the floodlights at the Reebok ?Worthy4England wrote:Hardly much style from the Clifton Suspension Bridge that's witnessed so many suicides over the years. Maybe wrapped in some clerical vestments as acknowledgement to The Spy simply saying "^ This ^"

Far simpler and much less painful option, General, is, like anything else that doesn't appeal to people, simply don't read it. Save a lot of money on police investigations, media coverage, possible links to Bolton Wanderers and this site, and the funeral of course.

I've seen us criticized for some things in my time - poor crowds, crap atmosphere, long ball etc etc but NEVER have I seen us be criticized for having no main rival. I didn't realise this was our fault. What do they want us to do? Move the ground nearer to somewhere like Wycombe?
Ah but you see, we have one - Bury FC

And as noted, we don't play them often these days. Funny that

That, I'm afraid, is how Stretford fans have found us for the past 40+ years.
Irritating, isn't it !?

You'd probably be behind the whole of the West of England Blackburn Rovers supporters club anyway. Even having two people in front of you can make you think just long enough for you to bottle it. Best solution is to have a word with yerself in the Corrie tap over a nice pint o'scrumpy.General Mannerheim wrote:id wanna do it in style!bobo the clown wrote:How far is it to the Clifton Suspension Bridge, General ?General Mannerheim wrote:Right, allow me to be the miserable misanthropist one again. I agree. It's embarrasingly arrogant, and the humour appears to be aimed at 12 year old boys. I don't understand the motivation behind it, but then I'm clearly not the target audience.General Mannerheim wrote:Right, allow me to be the miserable misanthropist one again. Are you a girl?

It's a bit of light - hearted banter which explores other fans opinions of us to the point of them being almost apopleptic with rage and idnigation that the dirty shithouses that are Bolton have beaten them (again). All this done against the background of knowing the final result. It's not fine art, but it is funny!
Re: Rovers Spy....
No, I'm not a girl. I just don't find it as witty or clever as the rest of you claim it is. Anyone can mock someone with the gift of hindsight. As for the reason I'm even commenting, I was simply expressing my agreement with the General, letting him know that he isn't alone with his controversial opinion.Gary the Enfield wrote:Cheese wrote:I agree. There's a Harry Hills TV Burp reference in there for gods' sake.
