Bla bla bla.

We're BIG OLD SUNDERLAND and we can call your support (even without thinking of the reasons behind it) yet we can't fill our ground either, and we all leave in the last 10 mins. People in glass houses...

Also, I'm being bitter because I don't like Bruce and Sunderland for all your namby-pamby diving around, moaning and having a bit more luck than us??

Now then lads..not come to rub it in or owt..My 6 pennorth from watching it realtime and live from the North stand. watching it on sky may change my opinion it often does and i'm embarrased by the penalties i was screaming for  .

Poor game i thought, we were well below par,and if thats how you lot play every week i really cant understand why you are in the top 7 ( therefore i presume you are better than that) .
Seems to be some banter going on about your robust nature and our 'diving and cheating', to be fair i felt several challanges by Bolton players in teh first half were shall we say old fashioned, the ref wasnt blowing for them for fear of sending someone off so our cuter lads decided to roll about a bit to make him act and get their fair share. Nature of the game these days, for years we suffered for a "get up and rub it" style . Internationals like Gyan etc dont play that way. Your back 4 seem incapable of pulling out of a challange when a player with his back to them rolls across them, easy meat for free kicks ( which we continuously wasted)

I thought you were physically better than us , henderson and Richardson in particular for us were windy and missed out on a few 60/40 balls...Bent and Gyan were poor, Gyan in particular was off it, dont know what he hell he was doing in the air he was no where near anything. The little blond kid was everywhere for you (somoene tells me he was on our books but ran away from town when he got a teeny weeny glassing in a club, dont know how true that is )

As usual we did our best to fall back deeper and deeper and flap about in our own box second half, i couldnt see what exactly was going on because i was in the other end but it sure looked like you should have at least put something on target.

As for the Bruce thing, yes he was very animated, however the first time i noticed this was in response to Coyle leaping about like a crying girl after a ( rightly from my distant view) penalised challange on wellbeck, in fact i remarked to the lad next to me what a tit coyle was being. I also remrked that Bruce has spent more minutes on the pitch than paulo de silva this year , he certainly doesnt respect the technical area.

I,m not going to get into the fan base thing too deeply but your turn out today was absolutely shameful. seriously, looked like 3 coaches tops and from the clip of the flag they put out one was the gay lesbian and bi sexual branch. If the fixture had been reversed we would have brought at least 3000, never mind snow, never mind Sky, never mind Xmas.

Anyway, i'm very happy with the points, we just deserved them, if you had got a point we would have had ourselves to blame. If we had a fit squad i would fancy us for an outside chance of a point at Man u..but we havent...wont stop me travelling though .

Merry Xmass to you and yours.

Some can take it as fun but some have had their lip out on both sides on a few occasions

Wist aayme are gonners but i dont see either of us holding spurs back , theyre some squad and harry the bahstard will be flashing the cash again in Jan. If we finish top 10 above yer Villas and Evertons it will be result, if we finish in top 7 i will be doing back flips. Could do with 2 more players in Jan and its possible, attacking midfielder and a left winger.

Noticed a recent obsession with attendance. Well done you have 10,000 more people at your ground. Wish people would shut up about it and get on with supporting YOUR club not commenting on other team's support.

Don't understand what the smoggy bastards are on about.

Statistically, their stadium has been more empty than the Reebok so far this season.

That's when they're on their best start for 10 years, being in the top 7 or 8 for us has been a fairly common occurrence comparitively, so you'd expect us to be a bit less excited about it.

Well, to be fair, they have sooooo many other options up there. Footy fans could go there, or Toon or .................

What an incedibly bitter thread.

It's to be expected though - I think come February when Bolton are about 15th we'll all look back on yesterday as the day the little flash in the pan got found out. Bolton were the same bunch of cloggers yesterday that they've always been.

If I were you I'd be worried as to how your "new, footballing side" were unable to score past a team missing their three best centre backs.

Apparently, mate, your home form is great anyway. Does that not suggest you'd be difficult to beat at home? With 11 men as opposed to 10 too.

Not really bitter. We didn't like Bruce much when he was at the pie-munchers, or when he was a DMB.

Sunderland's great record in the Prem over the last 10 years is something we're really envious of.

Aye, what was that shite Bruce was coming out with about us being an established Premier League club now, so we've kicked on a bit?

I must have made up the memories of Madrid, Munich, Lisbon, finishing 8th, 6th, 8th, 7th, a cup final, Jay Jay, Youri, Ivan.....

He chats shit, c'mon.

I'm not the least bit bitter. Funny thing reading your post is the last time I heard this type of comment was a few years ago when a bunch of Sunderland fans invaded the site going on about what a great man manager Roy Keane was, how he would have no problem handling Diouf and Chimbonga, and how amazingly ambitious they were, and that we were about to be relegated. Well a couple more seasons have passed we are still here, you have never been far in the table from us, and you only just got ahead of us in the table yesterday. So if I was you you should spend more time worrying about your own side, we are doing just fine thank you. Good luck with the rest of your season but don't put much hope in your predictions as they never seem to pan out.

Why not just pop back here in February and see how it stands ( though I doubt very much we'll ever here from you again after this week) ? Ten consecutive seasons in the Premiership is hardly a "little flash in the pan" is it? You're Sunderland, not Wonderland, don't forget that before you start talking Barcelona. We know who and where we are, always have done, unlike some who keep on assuming a big town population makes them a big club. If you want to equate things, try Newcastle 5, Sunderland O. Bolton 5, Newcastle 1. Meanwhile, our little club will just keep right on doing what we do. Merry Christmas to you.
