Benitez .... prick

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

No official statement from Inter yet, but according to Gazzetta de la Sport, 442 and Gabrielle Marcotti, he's gone. There's on standby for the press conference

Would certainly make my Christmas. If true maybe if he'll end up at Blackburn. I mean they have 6 m to spend to turn the team into Brazil. Easy job for a man of his capability.

Hows about he goes back to Liverpool?

Everyone would be happy apart from Hodgson but he'll have forgotten by the next day the senile old fool.

I think even Liverpool fans now realize that the crap they have been left with has more to do with Benitez than the old owners. Must be quite embarrassing that the man they loved couldn't even hold on to his next job for six months. Christ he took over the top team in the country and managed to turn them into a mid table side in no time at all and then let out a squawk eeriely or funnily reminicent of his days at Liverpool about not having support or players. Italian fans don't seem to be quite as thick as the pool ones though.

Seems Inter are denying the rumors. Can't imagine he's destined for a long future with an outburst like that though. Four or five players? Mourinho seemed to do just fine with what they have . . .

I wonder if Megson will play it cool, or just accept the first offer they give him?

Benitez still denying that he's been sacked but it has to be a matter of days now. No smoke without fire.

Yep .... imagine what he'd do with that £5m they've hoarded for him to spend on new players !!

The said on the news last night that Benitez was in hiding at his "holiday home" on the Wirral.
That's right folks, a cold and snowy Wirral is now the new Barbados.

So he's still hanging by a thread. Read a few comments from Liverpool fans going on how they love him, and many wanting him back at Anfield. Doesn't seem to have the same rapport with Milan fans. They seem to be taking the line, that's all and fine but at the end of it all you have done a crap job. Liverpool fans were so grateful for that Champions league win and with their obsession with the American owners he could have buggered their children and they would say thank you. Anyway doubt the new owner would want Benitez anyways so a moot point.

Looks in all likelyhood that he wil be out of a job in the coming days. Not sure where else he can go now. Who can afford his spending demands. A pretty high maintenance manager in this economic climate, and a bit silly to always blame the people paying your salary for all your shortcomings.

Wirral. The ultimate place of two halves.

Some of Britian's finest property and highest living standards, nesting alongside some of Britain's biggest cess-pits.

Here's hoping he's in hiding in New Ferry rather than Caldy.

Yep, though ... the fans are so un-enamoured with Hodgson that they have again wiped their collective memories of the dross this guy served up, the moaning, the political machinations, the over-spending, the dross he brought in.

The 25 man cap on squads will have buggered him up no end. His, Barry Fry style, amassing of players without ever getting rid of others means there are double figures of millionaire players not even in the Liverpool 25.

Looks like finalizing the compensation is the only things preventing the firing of Benitez right now. If I recall right he did o.k. in leaving Liverpool. I'm a bit short staffed in the bar right now and was thinking of offering him a job. Looks like he will likely not need to work for quite some time now.

Indeed. Great little earner from him being paid off 2 high salaried, long contracts in the space of 6 months for being completely incompetent.

Sven might end up being envious over this deal.

Casa Benitez is one of the finest properties in Caldy, the nicest residential area on the Wirral (and one of the top dozen in the country, I should have thought...). It's a massive place on the hillside - overlooks the ninth hole at Caldy Golf Club.
